Honestly, this. I got into Berserk back in 2008 or 2009. Like every other sucker here I thought it was the greatest thing ever. My conviction started flagging during that fucking boat ride to nowhere. This was back in 2011. How many years were they on that fucking boat? Eight? Nine? Waiting 4 months for another shit chapter of mermaid lolis and wacky pirates made it pretty easy to drop it.

I still check the threads sometimes though. I guess it's nostalgia, and fascination that this shit is still crawling along.

People unsatisfied by this or that chapter forget this is part of a bigger history, have you ever tried reading a book (LNs don't count)? It's not about immediate gratification. I just marathoned it in about a month and a half or so, timed it perfectly finish the day the latest manga chapter and the season finale came out. Rereading it had been on my to do list since the Dark Horse Scans came out. I'll probably do it again when the ending is in sight.

I started reading around a year ago and stopped once the pirates showed up. I heard the boat stiff went on for a while. Finally caught up. I was really hoping we would find out what Griffith is planning in his new kingdom by now.
