How can one show have so much going on and be directed so well yet be so boring at the same time?
Either it's not well directed or it's not boring, it can't be both.

its just to mundane and episodic.

>it hadnt pandered with my autism therefore its bad

BONES is king of style over substance. Almost all of their shows are the exact fucking same despite having wildy different premises and sources. Seriously you could watch their fucking Gundam show and you'd be surprised how close it is to Kekkai Sensen.
Favorite episode?
I watched a few episodes and really wanted to like this show. It just looks so cool but I also found myself bored as fuck.

I'm 10 episodes in and so far this has been the really standout episode. The other episodes all seemed to have dragged or just left me annoyed through Zapp being annoying as fuck but this episode where it was just Leo and his new friend was pretty good.

Episode 5, is not even a competition.

>you could watch their fucking Gundam show
What?

They're not all the same but it sure has seemed that way lately.
>Bungou Stray Dogs, Concrete Revolutio, Kekkai Sensen, Space Dandy
Urban supernatural government agency (bounty hunters for Space Dandy) stories told in an episodic fashion. Lots of great animation but some really unbearable writing. Add some shounen elements into the mix and you can count Boku no Hero Academia and Mob Psycho as well. So that's like the same story in 6 different shows in the past 3 or 4 years.

I think when you start saying that BnHA and Space Dandy have the same story, you've officially painted with too broad strokes.
>>158726312
Well that's why I didn't really count it with those first four since it deals with lots of different themes.
>>158726312
it doesn't have the same story as space dandy but it does have the same story as every other shitty battle shounen

Episode 6 is actually a masterpiece
It's a storytelling framework. Think Doctor Who or Cowboy Bebop.
Develop **characters** by placing them in **situations** then wrap with the arching storyline at the end of a series.

It's episodic but the episodes aren't really interesting or memorable. Characters seem cool but lack any semblence of depth that would make you empathize with them.
The setting is pretty good, much more could've been done with it.
