That's the problem. There was never that connotation in the orignal, and Commie created it when they decided to use swan song as a translation. That lead to a lot of people being confused when they started walking it off later in the season, which wouldn't have happened with a better translation.
Climax song is probably my favorite option, superb song sounds weird.
