It was never meant to animate anything. Picking up Onihei was probably just a last resource to keep the project from dying outright (hence it being entirely subcontracted) but his plan was always to just do the planning part and then pass it on to a real studio.

It was only supposed to be a pre-production studio, but it didn't work out in the end. That's why they had to produce Onihei, and are doing Pluto in the near future.
