This. I voluntarily moved to the country in a city with under 10k people, on a couple acres of land. Best decision I ever made. Can see the stars very clearly, the fog in the morning, the air smells fresh, and I don't have to worry about theft or kids. Tons of wildlife too because of all the surrounding woods, deer and coyotes a plenty.
