that's the problem: you're reading manga that has 100+ chapters. no good story remains good for that amount of time and yet mangaka get forced by their bosses to churn out more chapters.

Imagine if Citizen Kane was a manga instead, and after 50 chapters you get the burning of the sled scene, but since the manga is popular the mangaka's financial overlords demand 200 more chapters and suddenly Kane is alive again and he goes on some sort of redemption quest to win back the love of his wife or some shit.

This is what happens to any even remotely popular manga and is the reason most shonen and "romance" manga in particular are so shit, because they can't just end at the natural point; they have to go on and on and on to satisfy those above with all the love for money and none to spare for artistic integrity.

Seems more like a case of you expecting something entirely different from what the manga wants to offer. I might be wrong in the future, heck, calling it a harem is questionable at the moment. For now the "harem" part of the manga is more of a setup for things to happen. Aside Himawari the only characters fawning over the MC are non-characters that appear in specific panels just to put him in a situation. Aside from the first chapters, Inuma's girlfriend didn't really show Rokudou any interest, the loli has already given up on him and isn't even shown all over him anymore and the girl after the loli has disappeared from the story (although I assume she will come back). The only actual character who has shown affection to him since chapter one was Himawari. I do agree that Inuma becoming his friend like that was kind of a stretch, but I can swallow that because I understand that it's going for over the top situations (the third girl arc makes it extremely obvious). Also, it's been said in the first chapter that Rokudou wants a peaceful school life, not even once he mentioned about wanting to get a harem of girls and was said to dislike delinquents multiple times.
