PPOR robots are pretty fucking unique in this. I have a hard time remembering any other series where prototype robots are actually buggy, rushed, barely operational pieces of shit like real prototypes tend to be.

But be warned that episode 14 is 1.5 hours of nothing but plot dumped onto you by talking heads.

Yes. Overall, it's a very slow-burn series but I loved the style and art. And music.
That said, what >>158470687 said is true. Episodes 14 and 15 are each an hour and a half and the slow pacing gets even slower in 14 so they can explain the plot to you.
Still, it ends on a (mostly) satisfying crescendo and a mostly sweet, but ever-so-slightly bitter, ending.
