Great idea with a completely disappointing execution that never ended up saying anything profound beyond "muh friends".

'Understanding' other people's pain could've and should've been so much more thrilling. Make a reprehensible villain, but connect him to the rest of the cast, explore his inner workings. Connect two characters who should categorically never get along (a revenge story?), but make them explore each other's suffering.

It could've been so interesting, but instead it was teenage high school melodrama about unrequited crushes.

I still enjoyed it though, I guess.
