I'm not saying it's bad that you disliked it but that's factually not all there is to the show by a long shot, in terms of its appeal. For example, the characters are always developing in small subtle ways, often shown through the visuals so it has an appeal from a directing and writing standpoint.

It's a 22 minute shitfest, loosely inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, about some sort of guy who wears a powersuit against his will and is aided by a team of girls in his fight against the aliens.
