Pretty much this, also most of the other characters where meh. I don't remember exactly, but there was one ep where everithing before that all go to ridiculous for me, but don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but it wasn't good, it was just fun because why not.

I never got into the anime but I remember reading the manga and finding Yuno's constant victories aggravating after a while. She's not a good character and got really annoying really fast. The bomber chick redeemed the series a bit but honestly I can't imagine people unironically thinking the overall writing of the series is that good.

I have a love-hate relationship with this show. I like so many things about it and had such a great time watching it, yet I also want to murder everyone responsible for making an anime sprinkled with so much shit, like, really bad stinky shit. It's like a very pretty piece of expensive tech full of good stuff you really need, that constantly malfuctions and does stupid bullshit that makes you go "...come the fuck on now, I'm really tempted to throw you at the wall".

The elements people claim make the show "objectively bad but fun" are also in the manga. The anime is a straight adaptation. The only difference between anime and manga viewers is anime only viewers are children who think they have to shit talk a series in order to save face on the internet.

Besides, 9 times out of 10 when someone attempts to explain how the series is poorly written they reveal they simply misunderstood some element of the story.

We came for Yuno who was intriguing. Unfortunately she had to share the spotlight with Yuki, who couldn't carry the show at all. By the time Yuki decides to actually do something we're already 2/3 through the show.
If Yuno had to go it alone, or shared the spotlight with either the bomber girl, those two lovers, that eyeball mask wearing guy, then the show probably would have been better

i thought it was boring as not a lot of action really happened compared to the original. some things that bugged me was that Yuki seemed to be a lot more popular in this adaption and i didnt get how they are knocked unconcious by being shot with rubber bullets in that corporation building but i guess having a direct adaption or something close would be a lot harder to create.

Yuuki2 isn't the person she fell in love with, and isn't in love with her, and openly and obviously attempts to manipulate her, so manipulating him into a surrogate for Yuuki is fair game.

Conversely, Yuuki2 is the same person before the game starts, so every time he tries to manipulate Yuno, it's immediately obvious to her, because she knows what Yuuki loving her was actually like.
