I think in terms of sheer bizarreness of hype vs result, Budo has to be the biggest jobber in history.

At least Gilgamesh had some bullshit plot reasons for getting destroyed by japanese teenagers.

Saber was hyped because of the class, not for who she is specifically. And the class is just the one with typically the best stats and performance.

Ciel is:
>Potentially one of the most powerful modern magi with an Od capacity rivaling that of a Servant (was Roa's most powerful incarnation after his original body)
>Capable of using Roa's magecraft, including his Reality Marble and AoG spells
>Burial Agent deemed capable of solo operations, has access to powerful Conceptual Weapons like Seven and possibly even the Black Barrell
>Functionally invincible outside of major incursion e.g. the MEoDP (still kind of unkillable even after the destruction of Roa)
And yet she never wins. Except in maybe one or two bad endings where she takes out Shiki, which isn't that amazing an accomplishment.
Even Saber has a better score than her.
