Gorilla stretched this too thin. I know adding all the past characters for their own backstory sounds mandatory but I feel like that's a cheap cop-out for an ending. The pacing is all over the place and I just want this shit to end with a laugh.

problem is that the plot is not even good anymore. Utsuro was a huge asspull and mistake, and then things got way out of hand with the whole fucking universe going at war. I understand Sorachi coming up with that because something huge had to happen to rid Earth of the amanto, but the execution just wasn't good enough

How was it an asspull? They mention Altana and the strange effects it had all the way back in the Inugami Arc, and have hinted that Gin's character arc is about accepting/confronting his past. Utsuro takes that concept and makes it entirely literal. Sure, you might not agree with the choice to turn Shoyo into the big bad of the series or the shift from comedy to drama, but give credit where it's due.
