It's worthwhile for sure, but rather than being a full plot line rushed into two cours to keep everything in it, False Faces has a lot more slice of life and moves around slower because it's kind of set up for the third game in the series which is a direct sequel. It still has a lot of charm, though and I was a fan of the visuals and characters and the battles were cool when they actually happened.

Touka does make a few appearances, as do some other characters from the first series. Hell the main girl is the Hakuoro's daughter.

S2 is fucked up, as the director had no fucking idea based on story outline he was provided.
It has some cameos from S1, but that is all.

The second series is definitely worth watching. It has a different feel from the first, and as another anon, pointed out, is more SoL but the characters are great and the animation is even better. It is also a lot more focused on character development whichs adds a lot of impact when the plot kicks in. I was pleasantly surprised with it.

Feels good that third game gets released here in September already. Mask of Deception was great, but I can see some people dislike those slice of life sections.
