Less than 3 hours until new episode.
Let this be the main thread.
New preview pics up.
Like removing the need to sleep?
Anyways, I'm sure most if not all human beans are not a physical threat to zaShunina because if worst came to worst he could just warp them to another dimension, for eternity.
The recent interview said humans are like ants compared to zaShunina, so yeah, nothing humanity does can really threaten him. Even his temporary body is practically invulnerable.
>Hmm it feels like I missed last week's episode
Don't bully the best girl.
Are you okay with Tsukai getting fucked by old men?
I'm ready for some good content. The recap break kinda killed my hype.
Someone finally made porn involving detachable body parts.
I'd watch the stream but I'm pretty sure I'd miss half of the conversation. The jargon used in Kado is too difficult compared to the words they use in shounen and other shit I stream.
Yes, except that word has been repeated enough times by now to remember its meaning. But all the politics talk, bureaus etc. are too much, so it's comfier to just suck it up and wait for subs.
I only watch raw when I really have to even when I can understand everything, since the need to turn up the volume and listen carefully, replaying some scenes if I miss a word or pausing to look something up occasionally kind of ruin the experience.
>mfw often too lazy to rewatch episode with subs after seeing the stream
>occasionally miss important plot points
>have to lurk threads to know what's going on
>get the biggest gift imaginable for free
>hurr, what about muh laundry
zaShunina is now doing interior design.
He's going full Book of Isaiah here.
>seemingly disembodied heads covered with wings
>zaShunina's hair is supposed to resemble wings or an open fan
>alien advances human society for free
>everyone is happy except tsukai who is bitching about it for no reason
I am beyond mad. I hope
Shindo fucks the alien in front of her and she cries.
This is why bitches should never be the face of a negotiation. Their inability to divorce their personal biases and feelings from the proceedings makes them literal shit as diplomats.
She's afraid of zaShunina and the huge changes he's bringing. Contrast it with the journalists in this episode, who wanted to know more even if it were risky.
She never liked zaShunina much and the speed with which the world is changing only convinced her that he needs to be stopped.
>To those that have watched, what was Shindo's reaction to no sleep?
He's surprisingly fine with it.
> Tsukai's proposal?
She wants to send zaShunina back to wherever he came from.
> Is he having second thoughts?
No. He hopes it will help humanity and wonders if it will bring them happiness.
He supports the no sleep change (see pic related), his reaction to Tsukai's offer is unknown for now.
Holy shit, I didn't realize she was trying to show up zaShunina the whole time they were at the festival. She really hates him.
He's definitely not brainwashed. He even warns the journos that they have to decide for themselves whether they'll trust zaShunina or not.
Eh, Shindo is clearly not on humanities side anymore. Was he actually: "Oh, I don't need to sleep anymore because something intervened in my brain? Cool!" ?
zaShuninas premium human is not really human anymore.
zaShunina's ending pic has changed. He looks sad now.
Can we not?
To answer your question, yes, it's CGi. Yes, it is good and still worth watching. No, you don't have to start a bitchfight over an offhand comment.
Come on, you two, be adults.
Best girl doing what best girl needs to do.
But for what purpose? For fun? I was referring to that interview we got recently where it was said that zaShunina is like a human playing with ants. Not necessarily in an evil way, of course. I imagine it's more like "I'm gonna give this to them and see what happens".
There is only place where aliens helping advance human race can lead.
>Shindo: Go home?
>Hanamori: We can handle things without you for a day
>Tsukai: Dad! No, it's not like that!
>Tsukai: Shindo-san, say something!
>Journalist: We are the humans who can share the information
>Journalist: We can't run from that
What are they going to do to turtle-san?
Again who are you to decide what is human or not? The distinction you're making between human and not is completely meaningless. Also, people's immedate reactions would vary but if afterward, they decide that the ability to never have to sleep is somehow a negative thing then they are not only completely irrational but have serious mental issues.
It's really stupid that nobody still asked him the most obvious question - why is he doing all of this? Prime minister, Shindo, journalists - no one seems to give a fuck about his motive.
Even electronic brain pancake crystal elderly?
>Again who are you to decide what is human or not?
A human ;^)
>not only completely irrational but have serious mental issues
Who are you to decide what mental issues are? Are you a doctor?
Reread the interview. We are like ants compared to him, but it's no game. He's teaching mankind to think more and improve their lives.
>Noguchi: With the Wam he solved our energy problem; with the "no need to sleep" thing he is addressing our labor problems. The running theme of the show is "keep thinking and considering", so he keeps presenting questions for mankind to consider. (...) People's values are influenced by their way of living and rhythm, so I'd say he is inviting people with all these different values to reevaluate what "right" means to them.
>Noguchi: Yaha-kui zaShunina thinks humanity is still lacking in some ways and he is ready to provide them. What he is doing is essentially compressing human technological and societal progress on a very drastic timescale. He is compressing things that would take 100 years into a single year and letting mankind experience that.
It's not an answer though. Then the next obvious question should be - why does he want humanity to give the right answer. Why does he even bother with humanity, for what purpose.
Shindo actually asked him exactly that in the manga spin-off. See for yourself how that went.
>Shindo: ...This space is a real oddity if you think about it. You can't see far.. It's immense, but your voice doesn't carry...
>Shindo:... zaShunina. We need to talk.
>Shindo: Honestly, I still have my doubts about our Wam reveal... It was pure chance that I was on this plane, that I was a Japanese government bureaucrat, and that your first contact was with me. I became the bridge between you and the government.. The negotiator for the anisotropic.
>Shindo: So tell me... your real objective.
>zaShunina: My objective? What you are feeling is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of the future that the unknown is going to create. A very human emotion indeed.
>zaShunina: But it is not just fear; it is doubt. Doubt is the proof that you see the benefits as well... Within the Wam lies...
>zaShunina: A sign of happiness. And I know that mankind is aware of the exalted worth of this sign.
Feel free to ignore me then. What actual discussion do you want if everything I posted was already explicitly stated in the show and by the characters themselves.
Also you sound autistic and cocky so it's not like I'd consider having a serious discussion with you even if the topic wasn't that obvious and already discussed hundreds of times.
Get off your high horse.
The apparently sentient belts on his cloak.
>Inlays made of hard material; look like glass or plastic
>Shiny and glittering, seems to glow softly
>Belts seem to be ignoring the laws or physics; they shorten and lengthen as if they had their own will
>Sometimes and in some circumstances, space seems to bend inside the cloak; feels like you are looking into outer space
>Attention-Deficit Alien Disorder
best girl being the cutest
>get the Alien Jesus attached
>kick him out
I don't know why but I thought she was going to confess to him.
Fox and Crow Tengu.
I think a romance of any kind at this point would just feel shoehorned. Literally the only person Shindo has any chemistry with is the alien.
But he mentioned in the beginning that he needs to make humanity advance fast. Like he hasn't got much time for it. So there must be some goal in all of this, maybe some kind of danger that humanity can overcome only with his help.
Can't make wam because can't comprehend the anistropic.
Sansa makes people able to sleep and be awaken at same time by understanding anistropic.
Up it on youtube and now anyone can make wam.
She is the one who will suffer the most as whole humanity burns and she blames herself she didn't do enough to stop it.
zaShunina's perspective must be trippy as fuck.
>her crush on Shindo and acting all the time like an annoying tsundere
Is that what that's supposed to be? I just thought she was a brat who wasn't getting her way. Tsundere or not, I don't see the crush.
Shindo doesn't seem to see it, either, since he never even reacts to her being tsun.
>Next episode misunderstandings with her father and having a date with Shindo
>bickering with Shindo all the time and blushing
Even if Shindo doesn't realize it the show is pushing hard for this
we are completely at Alien's mercy here
he could have extinguished all of mankind in one fell swoop if he wanted to
the fact that he is trying to enlighten humanity instead is a fucking amazing outcome
>The show is pushing hard for this
>All of the merchandising is pushing Shino/Aylium
It's criminal how much better the show looks when it goes 2D.
>try to beat the aylium in a game he's literally never played before
She looked so smug, too.
>free energy is bad!
>no sleep is bad!
>detaching your arms is bad!
>Humans living forever, fast traveling through universe is real real bad
Bitch, fuck off. You are just jealous about Shindo and zashunina relationship
>shot of origami turtle while talking about zashunina's true form last episode
>zashunina takes the turtle back with him this episode
I don't know why but I'm increasingly certain his true form is not a fractal sponge.
Mom, straightfags are acting delusional again.
>zaShunina is now capable of liking and disliking things
>Tsukai wants to backstab him
Is it just me or does it sound like a disaster in the making? He wouldn't have cared before, but now he may actually retaliate.
RIP tortoise, you be soup later.
So he's a fractal turtle?
>According to traditional Japanese beliefs, the tortoise is a haven for immortals and the world mountain, and symbolizes longevity, good luck, and support.
If ayy has it, he's more likely going to be a pet.
>How will they deal with mass people who choose to suicide
No change, people kill themselves even without sansa, also it doesnt mean the work hour going to be changed to utilize the advantage of needing no sleep.
Thats going to be the final gift from zashunina, he was actually grooming the world for multi dimensional warfare for laughs.
If you kill one they all die, probably. Apparently while they can do different things, they still share an existence, they're interconnected. Shindo can avoid sleeping because another Shindo somewhere is sleeping. What each of you does benefits all of the yous. So if you kill one of yous, you're going to impact them all, and they'll probably all die.
>she looks flat
Retard alert. Retard alert.
Turns out that the shady guy did nothing wrong; the real psycho was the detective.
The weird alien is actually our best chance. zaShunina cares about distributing his gifts fairly and doesn't need to make a profit; neither of those would apply to human corporations.
Or antagonist, whatever. She's not a bad person, obviously, but she's undermining a lot of good zaShunina could do and her underhanded methods are not exactly laudable.
It's amazing how she went from being kind of cute to by far the worst girl of the season in one sentence.
>send zaShunina back
For the time being, right? How did she got her job as a negotiator if she thinks she can convince him to do it as he is right now?
Shindo made zaShunina the cutest friendship bookmark. The only way he sends him back is to go with him to meet his anisotropic parents and friends.
Another great episode. I really love this show. The focus on the reporter dude and his crew was great.
So far the really interesting thing is how zaShunina is changing as he learns more about humanity. Now that he's learned "like" and "dislike" he is may even start forming political opinions. The real shocker would be if he decided he no longer thinks humanity deserves advancement, or something.
But more likely, I think, is that the gifts he gives are going to be such a great leap forward that people are going to start wondering whether they even want them at all. Humanity might even reject him in the end.
Also he keeps reminding me of that Rob Bryanton "Imagining the Tenth Dimension" video. I think that's similar to the dimensional theory they're going for, with things mysteriously popping in and out, and the fourth dimension being simply each point an individual goes through on a timeline.
I wonder if any actual sciencefags are watching this show and have opinions on this stuff.
>person is suspicious of a creature we know literally nothing about that is trying to forcefully advance the human race for yet unknown reasons
>/y/fags can only see potential threats to their homo ship
zaShunina is kitsune (intelligent, shape-shifting fox spirit that seduces young men and has superhuman children with them) and Shindo is Karasu Tengu (crow-like monster that teaches gods' arts to humans).
Tsukai can actually win this but she doesn't look smart enough to use media to turn people on her side.
Most humans want their laundry to get dry a hour early and don't care about advancement. They don't even realize that if they wait some months their laundry will get dry in seconds by some new drying machine which everyone is going to have.
He's been nothing but accommodating and understanding so far. He has repeatedly changed his conduct simply to make it easier on humans, let Tsukai blame him for human stupidity and so on. He hasn't done a single antagonistic thing yet.
>I changed your phisiology without asking, oops
>hey, there is this device that will create massive distruptions in society, lets give it in thousand without asking authorities if it is OK
She has issues. Nobody who is so childish would ever get such a high-profile job. I'm sure she only landed it cause she has connections (otou-saaaaan!). She is everything that is wrong with Japan. Get screwed, outed and enjoy your baito at 7/11 for the rest of your worklife, Tsukai.
What kind of profit could an all-mighty being gain from a bunch of stupid monkeys? If humanity fails to advance and dies out it is it's own fault.
Earth is not some safeplace which is so special no one has a right to even look at. There is a wide universe around it and humanity were lucky to get a cooperative alien as their first contact with the rest of the universe instead of some alien warheads who just like to blow up planets and stuff.
>I changed your phisiology without asking, oops
Shindo's physiology alterations were an accident, he says as much. Granted, he considers it a happy accident, but it was still unintentional.
>What kind of profit could an all-mighty being gain from a bunch of stupid monkeys?
Why do you think there is nothing?
Just put yourself in his shoes.
If we met some society that was technologically inferior, it would be absolutely retarded to do it the way he does it.
He's not a human meeting a technologically inferior civilization; he's pretty much a god. You heard Shindo - he couldn't even like or dislike things until very recently. Greed is not in his nature.
lel they totally are setting up these two together.
You're right, more than a Judas she is the second coming of Dietlinde Eckart from the FMA film. Which is even worse. At least Dietlinde bit the dust in the end.
>He's not a human meeting a technologically inferior civilization; he's pretty much a god.
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" - some random guy
>Greed is not in his nature.
Greed has nothing to do with it.
He has a goal.
And way to achieve that goal is to "elevate" humanity.
And he is clearly unwilling to describe his goal clearly.
You are a human as I'm. We need to eat and sleep. We can get ill and are weak as individuals. We need others to work on fields to make food and shelters for us to sleep. So as humans we could see other race as a free labor for sustaining our life. But he is a being that has everything. He doesn't need anything to sustain his existence as he takes everything from anisotropic.
If I was him I would literally just watch and relax with new cool living beings I just found. I would read their books and go to their festivals. I would have a lot of fun learning their culture.
>I think a romance of any kind at this point would just feel shoehorned. Literally the only person Shindo has any chemistry with is the alien.
Weird way to spell Hanamori.
>But he is a being that has everything.
This is physically impossible. If he had that, he would just change every human's perception and not take the long route of slowly adapting new gadgets.
Kinda late here, but this scene was satisfying as fuck.
She's the opposite of zaShunina. Irritable vs. serene, close minded vs. curious, suspicious vs. trusting, dark vs. light and so on. And if we consider the OP, nature vs. human and god vs. fetus.
>This is physically impossible
Well he talks about having limits but from humanity's point it's "almost infinite". Humanity just can't have more of something when he already has almost infinite power.
Shindo made him go slowly. He tried to mind rape him from the start but it didn't work and he tried to adapt. He could find different route for people's minds but Shindo set him on a longer way which was more interesting.
>have the opportunity to show Hanamori and zaShunina shenanigans
I would ask the freak with flying hands to send the cute girl to hell and film her ordeal for science purposes.
That's how you become miserable in life. I don't need even more of that.
Generous space bro thinks you're cool > useless Earth's chick pays attention to you one time but only on condition
Is he making that face because he wants to be partnered with Shindo, but isn't? First he's excluded from official art and now this. Fuck you Toei, my heart can't take this. Hanamori best.
Doubt it. zaShunina said he's more attuned to the anisotropic and the Sansa made him even more so, but it's mostly just a difference in perception. Unlike zaShunina, his body is still flesh and blood.
>The person that made Google is considered one of the most important persons in this world
you fucking losers
But rather than the US, I wanted to see the buttblasted Saudi Arabia.
I was kinda on guard about the whole not needing sleep thing last week, considering the health benefits of sleep, or problems in the case of no sleep, and the other effects of sleeping. I also kind of value dreaming so if he actually removed the ability to sleep I would be against it.However since you can fall asleep if you want to then I'm not against it. I cant really imagine the impact it would have on society though.
I like how nights are quiet and peaceful so I dont really like the idea of them being as hectic as the day.
Anyway, I can see how zaShunina's methods fell somewhat forceful and distant but I dont like what Tsukai is thinking.
>You came already?
There are still 3142 duplicated penises remaining
>an extradimensional portal opens in front of you. It will create a perfect clone of you in a different place and kill you
Do you enter it?
At this point, I don't see any serious downsides to what zaShunina is doing. The Wam is going to create some problems, but the positives heavily outweigh the negatives. Add the no sleep option and the possibilities are simply incredible.
As I understood it's not actually "not sleeping" but more like "being awake and asleep at the same time".
If the extra-dimensional part of you sleeps that means you do still experience sleeping since that part is still you and you are aware of it thanks to Sansa.
>still not showing any more skin than usual
is this supposed to be sexy?
>send me some sexy pics girl
>sure here you go
Downside (I guess) is the same as the nuclear analogy. Everyone having access to unlimited energy means that states that are hostile to one another will have massive war potential.
Ideally it will just result in an infinite arms race. But who knows?
The interesting thing about humans is that, even when all their needs are met, there is still the potential for evil among them. People will still be envious and hateful of one another. People will still wage holy wars. And if zaShunina has a solution to that problem, then it may be a rather sinister one, such as unifying all human consciousness into a single entity (perhaps not unlike himself).
>switch already becoming bargain-bin carnie trash prizes
seems like people have become more wise in this world
>it doesn't count if it's anal
I see, but couldn't that be because of the inequality that exists between them and the people who don't have their same living conditions?
We never have had a society where every citizen's need was met fully and in equal measure so who knows what could happen.
When is zaShunina gonna reveal that the reason he wants humanity to evolve is because he needs help fighting the extradimensional rapemonster that's destroying his plane of existence?
All human needs have never been met before. That was zaShunina's point in his talk with the PM: our worries about the Wam stem from the way we are used to think about resources, which were always limited in some way. The Wam situation is fundamentally different.
Yeah, it's an interesting though experiment. The Marxist view would be that all crime comes from lack of prosperity. There's some truth to this of course but I don't think it accounts for everything bad about people. You're right that the kind of utopia zaShunina seems to be heralding in isn't something that has ever existed on earth.
It's reminding me a lot of Utopian literature like Thomas More's "Utopia" or Aldous Huxley's "Island." That's what I like so much about this show, the idea that utopia can somehow be a gift to people from another utopian species, instead of being the result of humanity sorting out its shit.
>sperging in the car
>sperging at the festival
I couldn't give less fucks about the fujo shit but those scenes were simply cringy and out of place.
Do people really find this kind of behaviour attractive?
Yeah both times I was just like "excuse me, but who are you exactly?"
Why does she even exist? Couldn't her entire role in the show be better fulfilled by Shindo's bro that we already were given a reason to like in Episode 0?
she is far from the worst character even on this show
I don't have a problem with Tsukai in general, she is an interesting character that provides a different point of view, it's just that they seem to push that moe/tsundere angle too hard, with scenes that belong more to romcom and comedies than to a generally somber series like Kado.
If I were the writer of the show I sure wouldn't cut more female characters. There are already few enough as it is.
This isn't a fujo show.
We have plenty of serious, super rational adults in the cast. Tsukai is more like anti-zaShunina; she is everything he isn't. Come to think of it, that gives us yet another reason why she finds him so objectionable.
