I started reading Sonomono nichi ni, and the MC is a complete autist crybaby that cucks himself by misunderstandings, even though he is powered up to hell. This one turned to shit after the 3rd arc.

Tanaka the Mage is about a 40 something old man that gets super healing powers and high Magic stats because god couldnt turn him into a pretty boy. It was pretty interesting but the ending fucked it all up.

Overlord is about an OP MC with a guild base and bunch of OP minions, and has consistently been pretty entertaining.

Logically you would summon a being that is actually naturally more powerful. In Final Fantasy the summoners summon powerful spirits and gods and shit for example. You know, things would be slightly better if summonings resulted in multiple people, attempted many times (where failure or a inanimate object was accidentally summoned), and powers were granted to people who were much closer in vicinity to the summoning circle. Like some people had average amount of powers, some were barely granted the ability to communicate, some were given great powers but the mc her/himself was given no gifts and unable to even communicate because of being too far from the summoning while his existance was barely brought to the isekai world. Then the mc will really have to struggle, but alot of these isekai have little to no actual tension in struggling. Give the mc a way to study the language, give him basic training, and make him smart enough to have common sense to really be an exceptional character as well as role.

A lot of that has been done in different works. Hell, in general when there's a mass summoning there's also a mix bag of of powers. One even has god have the people randomly pick cards for their ability.
