Subaru finally has a temporary respite from suffering
Every Rem until thread wakes up.
Who has the second page to this?
watch the anime and liked it but tried the manga and got confused is the show ahead of the manga i know it originally was a novel but when i go to kiss manga theirs like 3 re zero manga's
Because of reasons, each story arc has its own manga.
Manga of arc 1 and 2 are complete, manga of arc 3 is still ongoing.
Considering that the anime covers the first 3 arcs it also means that the manga is still behind, although cuts less content than the anime.
Light Novel is at Arc 4 while the Web Novel is at Arc 6
If you want to catch up the novel: https://pastebin.com/u3VJggF6
>Though naturally when she started thinking about chopping her silver hair short, everyone
collectively yanked the breaks on it.
Hopefully this was 'Fortuna looks cool and has short hair' and not 'That potato is stealing my attention'
Emilia wouldn't dare do anything to upset Subaru or he will leave her village frozen forever. Even yandere Emilia in Echidna If didn't do things like killing the potato because that would upset Subaru.
I'm glad we have summaryanon translating for us.
TC goes at a snails pace and then there's Remon.
>then there's Remon.
I'm glad there's someone translating the BD specials.
Speaking of which, the people who've gotten the Rem IF seem to want it animated, so more people can see it. Apparently the prologue is pretty painful, and one of the high points is apparently a talk Rem and Subaru have, since I've seen it mentioned various times.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to look if I want to get real spoilers.
I mean, I apreciate Remon's work, Rem is by far my favourite.
Anyways I have no right to complain about the translators, they do it for free so we filthy gaijins can keep up with the story.
I don't have the willpower to learn nip, truly slothful
I'm FRICKIN trying but kanji is a pretty hardcore grind.
I actually started learning nip, but some stuff got in the way. I should definitely get back to it.
Anyhow, Subaru apparently talks to Rem about his parents during their talk. It also seems Subaru gets past his previous failures and manages to help save everyone that he's gotten to know in Kararagi, so I guess he still winds up being Rem's hero in the end.
I was going to comment, but that's technically a correct statement as the only two Oni in the universe do love human men that love other women. As for historical Oni, no, they'd have as much problem with half-breeds as they do with twins.
He's been dead for years.
Maybe tomorrow. I need to finish up Rem:NEET first.
>tfw best girl gets slipped into a 4 panel patato comic
Not their fault that they happened to be in love with assholes that are ridiculous obsessed with some other girls. But Rem is luckier since Subaru still does act like a husbando around her. Ram is not that fortunate.
I hope the twins can somehow defy their fates and stop being second choice (especially Rem since its how her life's been since birth). As warped and crazy as the twins might be, they deserve to be happy.
I don't. The anime has issues.
Stop laying the bait.
Honestly, how would you want Ram's relationship to develop? What do you think would be truly ideal for her?
>you now remember Rem is still asleep and has been asleep for years since at least 2011-12 iirc
Cant wake up. Save me (Tappei)
I want Roswaal to at least become a decent man and reciprocate Ram's love for him. Seeing Roswaal treat her like a doormat and always take advantage of her while Ram does nothing but obeying him pains me greatly. Even if clown doesn't hook up with Ram anymore, it's fine. I just want to see someone that will appreciate the real her and not treat her like a tool or option.
>370 years without your waifu
Good point. I guess in his situation I might do the same. However, it still didn't work out very well for him yet. 400 years without his waifu and now the book is dead so it might have been for nothing.
I haven't finished reading the translated stuff though so maybe he's taking it better than I would.
>so define 'worked'
He is still alive and working towards his waifu.
>I don't see a waifu,
He has her on ice.
>It also told him to go get Ram, and she destroyed it.
Being destroyed may have been part of the book's plan.
Subaru is a selfish bastard who has never once considered the fact that he is effectively toying with millions of people's lives for his own benefit.
If he really cared about any of them then he would dedicate 100% of his time to studying his own condition and attempting to cure it.
As far as I'm concerned he deserves to suffer more and more until his psyche is irreparably damaged to the point where no one will ever take him seriously and he'll end up locked in some dungeon for 50 years until he eventually dies.
>If he really cared about any of them then he would dedicate 100% of his time to studying his own condition and attempting to cure it.
How exactly does one cure Satan taking an interest in you and using her magic to keep you alive?
Every thread until Crusch-sama gets her memories back.
Apply the basic principles and guidelines of problem solving.
There's a systematic way to solve everything.
I might be more willing to accept that if he actually embraced it and stopped trying to be such a moralfag. How fucking dare he pretend he cares about Emilia or Rem or anyone when he's using to feed his own desires.
I don't know what you're even trying to say. You're upset he doesn't save scum because dying actually fucking hurts and there's the possibility of multiple universes where the timeline continues after he dies?
So this is gonna be a thing now
It's probably better to just let him be
>it and stopped trying to be such a moralfag
When the fuck is he a moralfag? He established in arc 2 that its his life to do with what he wants and he's being operating like that since. As of current translations he just got done keeping a fucking evil clown around because its too inconvenient to get rid of him.
>There's a systematic way to solve everything.
But there isn't. You can't prevent your own inevitable death for starters. And don't say some scientists will inevitably find immortality, because that still means you personally cannot and will not solve it.
Tappei's written fade to black before, and I'm pretty sure it was mentioned they started having sex almost immediately after they ran away together.
That's why the prologue ought to be a sex scene, even if not too detailed. No real communication, that comes later, just licking each other's wounds in a fairly sad and pathetic display.
Whether or not you succeed is irrelevant. What I said was not that there's a realistic or efficient way to solve any problem, but that a systematic approach can be applied to any problem to solve it given enough time.
The solution to staying alive while starving to death may be to climb a tree and pick its fruits. This solution could very easily get you killed by a branch snapping causing you to hit your head on a rock and bleed out. This is definitely a failure, but it does not mean that the method of figuring out a solution was flawed, it was the execution of that solution that was flawed.
So lay out how he systematically cures himself of evil witch stalking, or why he'd particularly want to throw away the only thing keeping him alive in the crapsack world he's in.
So you're saying you are currently researching immortality even though you know you're most likely not going to get anywhere? Because apparently everyone should be systematically approaching problems they know they're incapable of solving, just to fulfill your autistic desire for method?
Also your comparison is flawed because in a life or death situation the best course of action is to take the risk for the fruit since you'll die anyway. Meanwhile Subaru is fucking immortal if he does nothing.
>not ignoring your pain by fucking like crazy every night
Got one of my own, if you ever want to politely suggest Satella could go fuck herself.
>you will never be princess carried by a womanlet
I read that in the recent chapter 32, spirit Echidna told Subaru she (or rather Anastasia) was investigating him and asked him where he was from.
Did it sound like she was very suspicious because there are zero traces of his origin?
Echidna is extremely suspicious of him and even scared of him
Anastasia's thoughts aren't explicitly stated, but she was lamenting how impossible it was to find any information on this guy, so she very likely thinks something is up
Rem looks weird with her bangs above her eyebrows
Subaru: “No, was just thinking that mulling over things without being frantic about it is bliss. Wow!
No matter how everything falls, there's no bloodshed and nobody dies!”
>this wasn't the final scene of the anime
way to fuck it up. it could have been another Berserk.
When Rem wakes up, Tappei should end the Rem IF by having Subaru die of old age ahead of Rem, surrounded by his kids and grandkids. And as he dies, he respawns in front of Kadomon and Rem in Arc 3.
He completely loses it
>finally start reading
>get to the sanctuary
[Little girl: ――onlythroughpainandsufferingcantheguiltyberedeemed]
w-what did yall get me into
Do you anons think it's odd that Subaru often says he can't read the mood? Even though he says that, he usually does a very good read of what people are thinking or feeling, even with people who don't reveal it like Ram or Frederica. In most situations, he can easily understand the other party.
I understand it as him fucking up by impulsively making odd comments without caring about the mood because that's what he does, but I think that "can't read the mood" is completely off mark.
She finds Emilia's general thoughtlessness in face of her position (royal candidate) irritating
She's also jealous but is disgusted of her feeling in a way that is too harsh on herself
Not so sure about Emilia, but Rem certainly is after being devoured by Gluttony.
>Clown that takes the bodies of his descendants.
>Was originally a chick with massive tits.
>Is quite possible the most evil fuck after Satella herself.
>Redeemable in any way.
Only way he gets redeemed is if after his teacher comes back, said teacher rips him apart.
I just checked the last two chapters of Arc 4
>Lewes crystal gone
>2 Echidnas, one of them is Omega now
>Elsa was only tasked with killink Beako
oh shit how deep does this rabbithole go
Yeah, about that, no one talked about how Roswaal ordered these killings. Who is this "Mother" and who ordered her or why did she order the killing of Petra and Frederica?
Why the fuck are there two Echidna's?
>attempted genocide is wrong.
He never did that.
No it doesn't. It's simple. Roswaal has a goal and he works to accomplish that goal. That's respectable. That's admirable. No need to make it so complicated.
I just had a dream of Beako.
Her smooth, sexy thicc legs wrapping around my manly, muscular body while acting all shy and in a soft voice telling me to put it in.
Oh god I can't take it anymore PLEASE HAVE SEX WITH ME FOR REAL BEAKO-SAMA
>No it doesn't. It's simple. Roswaal has a goal and he works to accomplish that goal. That's respectable. That's admirable. No need to make it so complicated.
Except the part where it tramples irreparably over innocent people, considering them to be little more than bargaining chips at best.
Belligerent Lolimancer appears!
You must defeat the Lolimancer to claim the loli!
>Except the part where it tramples irreparably over innocent people
There are no "innocent" people. Sacrifices must be made. It shows devotion not evil. That's the way it is.
Ram is right to support Roswaal.
>Her smooth, sexy thicc legs
Are you dumb?
Tbf there are lolis with thicc legs
Beako just isn't one of them
Except he called in rabbits to kill a whole lot of people, that's genocide, and it's attempted because it was thwarted.
Even children in real life can have thick thighs. It's not unseen to even see breasts on some kids without them having reached puberty.
>It shows devotion not evil. That's the way it is.
Also, no, your way of thinking is retarded.
Maybe his intent wasn't evil, but his actions were. Maybe he isn't evil, but he did do something wrong, since his actions are evil.
>Maybe his intent wasn't evil, but his actions were. Maybe he isn't evil, but he did do something wrong, since his actions are evil.
Ok he just used a few people. That's not mass murderer level evil or anything. It's not even that bad.
Yeah, it's not that bad, he just tried to kill the people closest to him!
Almost killed half a city too since Puck usually starts destroying the world when Emilia dies.
But it's ok, his actions lead to nothing, since usually, there's Reinhardt there to stop Puck.
Except they wouldn't be coming when people are there. Luring carnivorous animals towards your friends isn't somehow not attempted murder.
He also let everyone die, every time they came in.
>Almost killed half a city too since Puck usually starts destroying the world when Emilia dies.
Is Roswaal responsible for Puck's actions now? Let's just blame everything that goes wrong on him!
It doesn't matter if he's evil or not though, what you're defending is "Roswaal did nothing wrong.".
And by your definition, he is evil, because he's trying to revive Echidna while pretty much getting rid of any obstacles, including people, to get her back.
While he isn't doing it just because she ought to live, but because he wants her.
>Except they wouldn't be coming when people are there. Luring carnivorous animals towards your friends isn't somehow not attempted murder.
there are there because of Roswaal and Emilia
Q: The rabbits all gathered at the tomb; were all the small animals and insects in the forest eaten up? Or are humans their favorite food?
A: Most living things they met on the way were eaten, but they were aiming for Emilia and Roswaal, who are basically clumps of mana, so they moved in a direct course towards the tomb. The animals and bugs at other locations were hibernating.
There's also a difference between "Well, they're coming to me because I'm a clump of mana." and "Well, they're coming to me because I'm actively trying to lure them with my mana.".
One of them is an unfortunate situation and the other is "I want to kill myself and everyone around me by being eaten alive.".
>people seriously arguing Roswaal isn't an evil mass murderer
>wanting a cripple to be happy is disgusting!
Telling Ram to dump clown is just as hard as telling Rem to give up on her lover. The onis are just that stubborn.
No, but he lost all of his memories from his time in this world.
Imagine all those mini clowns Rem and Roswaal will be having. Oh boy they're going to be so cute and adorable.
I feel disgusted.
Newest WN chapter.
Subaru at the end goes somewhere to apparently try and find a way to beat Reid, Betty finds him unconscious and brings him back to the green room, and when he wakes up he looks around and doesn't recognize anyone and repeats the same words he said in the story "have i been transported into another world?" Most people are assuming he read one of the library books for far too long and it fucked with his mind.
>Who's Rem incoming from his own mouth
So he is forgetting his purpose. Time for Reinhard to bring out the
>Rem: I want the people I love to always be cheery. Even if I’m gone, I want them to remember me with a smile on their face.
>Subaru: Who's Rem?
>Imagine all those mini clowns Rem and Roswaal will be having. Oh boy they're going to be so cute and adorable.
Yes! And when the time comes Roswaal can possess the best of them and marry the second best to make a better vessel! What a great idea!
At some point Julius is just going to kill himself due to despair.
I can imagine Subaru saying something incredibly stupid like "What this is Pleiades tower? WAOHH THEN THATS ME THATS MY TOWER I AM THAT THING guess I am this master flugel of yours shaula-tan"
When he asks "Who's Rem" or when he asks Julius who he is is when they'll know he's not joking around.
I wonder if Subaru will auto-hate Julius this time around too, maybe the guy makes a polite comment to Emilia and earns Subaru's evil eye
>I wonder if Subaru will auto-hate Julius this time around too, maybe the guy makes a polite comment to Emilia and earns Subaru's evil eye
He'll already hate him cause he wants to be left alone with his harem.
Also maybe Julius will try to be really careful around Subaru since he knows what kind of an asshat he can be. Though the situation might be too much for him in the end.
Still not 100% on what the last part says, but you get the idea.
Julius curls up and suicides in a corner
Ram flips the fuck out and then dies of no clown
Meili betrays the party
Shaula convinces Subaru that he is her master
Echidna unwittingly kills Anastasia by overtaxing her od
Echidna then bodyjacks Rem as a replacement vessel
Beatrice dies while defending Subaru from paranoid terrified Remchidna
Emilia makes it to the end with Subaru
Then Subaru finally succumbs to authority/miasma/stress/trauma/Satella-induced breakdown and kills Emilia
Then he gets his memories back
this wont happen. jesus christ, no one would stick around with a wild ride like this. I mean i've given up on rem waking up anytime soon, tappei might pull a Sill Plain on us and have rem wake up on the last arc, but subaru being potato is a no go
That's the idea and then the next/final loop would be incorporating the stuff they did last time but in ways that aren't horrible, or using hints from the horrible loop to find sidepaths
Apparently this might be more accurate.
It's "moon" apparently, and moon can be interpreted in a number of ways, like support, love. Or a reference to Subaru's talk with Emilia where he goes "The moon is beautiful".
So basically his love vanished.
So how will amnesiac Subaru fare
>Thinks again he's an isekai protagonist
>Given how everyone acts like they know him thinks he's in a sequel
it's fine unless you want to get finnicky about it
rem.. who's that? -> who's rem? / rem? who's that?
put ? after the scribble in either of those cases
last line -> get rid of past perfect tense + maybe spruce up phrasing
then again who cares
The titles are given to those who reach the apex of mastery in one of the six affinities of magic. ‘Fire’ is ‘red’, ‘water’ is ‘blue’, ‘wind’ is ‘green’, ‘earth’ is ‘yellow’, ‘shadow’ is ‘black’, ‘light’ is ‘white’. At the time of the royal selection, white and black are absent, blue is Ferris, and the last three are held by Roswaal.
I will die if the update schedule leaves a blank spot for a month again. Stop having other things to do Tappei please
He scrapped it yesterday but he still writes blitzkrieg fast, so unless he's really struggling I think the bigger time-eater is distracting commitments rather than the actual writing. Because Tappei is a robot who must churn out updates or be junked
Nips on 2ch talking about how Chicken jumped straight from arc 4 to translate this chapter because the chapter was that impactful
Senpai has noticed the western WN-translation reader fanbase
Chicken said he would do both Arc 4 and 6, the latter was decided because the latest chapter was that important for him and he doesn't want to miss Rem awakening if it happens at this arc
Subaru forgetting Rem is bad enough but now Julius might actually commit seppukku now that his only friend is gone.
Truly we are in the worst timeline.
Hey now, don't you think that rude? To just assume something ignorant and rude about me? What do you have against the way i talk? Perhaps you think you're in a position to judge me, even though it's a clear violation of my right to speak freely? Really, you lot are why i never try to associate anymore, you corrupt perfect maidens with your stupidity and turn them into sluts beyond saving, perhaps you should kill yourself to rid the world of your stupidity? If you don't feel like it i'll take it upon myself to work for my rights and eliminate you myself, it's not like anyone's going to miss you anon.
> Julius commits sudoku
> Subaru feels a bit bad and awkward about it but whatevs, he just met the guy
> Subaru doesn't know he can RbD
> 2 weeks later, Subaru regains memory
> suicides instantly
> RbD takes him back a full 3 seconds to the past
What are the chances that this current Subaru will become corrupt and turn into another ayamatsu Subaru? What are the chances this will the the fated day that Rem and Subaru are forced to fight each other to the death like how it was foreshadowed? How do you think the scene will play out?
Would prove that the love between Rem and Subaru is only based on looks and interactions without substance. Aka, a schoolgirl loves a schoolboy cheap love. And would further prove that Rem is a waifubait.
There's potential for corruption (miasma, the team's on edge and he might lose their trust/he might not trust them, authority abuse, feeling crushed under expectations, etc) but they're also potential for no corruption and Subaru just hangs around as a burden in the middle of an already-hopeless situation
>Everyone thought Rem will become the next Theresia
>It was Subaru who will become the Theresia all along
What a twist.
I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant by that.
That's pretty much his relationship with Emilia though. He literally fell in love with her at first sight and became a massive white knight for her because 'muh isekai heroine'.
>how do you translate Garfiel's sayings
I only understood like three of them
>only based on looks
Nigger, that's just Emilia, he even said that he wouldn't fall for Rem cause he prefers long hair back then
Still, if he has no memories he's naturally going to gravitate towards Emilia, no way around it
Q: How well do the members of the various royal candidate’s camps get along?
A: Crusch - Ferris is a happy couple (Crusch is the husband), Anastasia - Julius are a boss and subodinate that understand each other, Priscilla - Al are a bad influence on each other. Emilia - Subaru are friends like a boy and girl in elementary school. Felt - Reinhard are like co-workers where one hates the other, and the other tries to be nice anyways.
>Emilia - Subaru are friends like a boy and girl in elementary school
Let me see what my shitty ass nip can decipher.
I think there's an artbook and two bonus novels, which seem like they might include all of the past store special books and a new story. 450 pages total?
Someone else needs to look at this to make sure.
I swear to god if Subaru acts like a fucking mongoloid again
>on arc 6
>out of ELEVEN
>first arc was basically figuring out how to beat one woman in the course of a day
>one of the arcs will probably involve confronting fantasy satan
Feels weird. There's a lot of weird things about the setting and plot structure. At least the author isn't someone like GRRM and there's actually a chance it'll be completed by the heat death of the universe.
>Subaru asks what's going on
>when the companion understand he has amnesia they explain the situation
>Ram tells him they're there to cure his sister in a magical coma and that he's the one leading the missione because according to him they were in love
>he sees the blue girl and as she's hot he's pumped up
>Ram omits that he also usually claims to love Emilia
>the others do not bother to rectify that because it's not important to the situation at hand
>sees silver haired Elf
>she's pretty hot too
>must be in the party for the fanservice
>doesn't hit on her because he's already destined to the blue sleeping beauty and would be an easy hook up when they're done with the tower
How many thousands of dollars did some people buy that shit for again?
If this has what I think it does, we'll be able to see Rem and Subaru's first meeting, their latte art, and maybe even "Rem's maiden heart is very complicated.".
But what if Subaru goes for Emilia again due to his half-elf fetish and witch fuckery and gives up on the tower to "power-level"? What if he thinks of Rem like how he thought of her during arc 2?
Probably, but that's a problem for 2020+ me to deal with.
>Will Rem experience an episode 13 with Subaru?
Dear god I hope so I want to see all of it in its entirety out of morbid curiosity. I expect Rem to beat the shit out of him.
•Questions about Odo and Mana
•Questions about Curses
•Questions about Magic Users
•Questions about Magic
>Q: Was it curses? Was it sorcery (note: more literally ‘curse arts’)? Although recently magic has been catching all the attention, there was something like that, but will it not show up again? I liked it quite a bit.
>A: A curse user will show up all in good time, don’t worry. There’s a reason that the curses remained in Subaru’s body.(July 28, 2014 arc4) (note:capella)
>A: A curse user will show up all in good time, don’t worry. There’s a reason that the curses remained in Subaru’s body.(July 28, 2014 arc4) (note:capella)
Good to know we've only just started falling into this rabbit hole
>Q: In ice magic, there’s both use of fire mana like Puck, and use of water mana like Rem, but are there differences according to the affinity?
>A: Rem’s water mana is able to create ice pillars and attack with them, but it can’t freeze an opponent or object like Puck’s fire mana. On the other hand, fire mana can’t heal, or create large amounts of water like water mana can, you see. The part where they create ice pillars and attack with them is the same.
>A: It’s a little bothersome, but ‘Fire’ is the temperature controlling line, so both flames and ice are part of the ‘Fire’ system. Sorry it’s hard to understand. As for whether Puck will ever use fire or not, please look forward to it.
So Emilia using ice attacks is consistent with her attribute being Fire, i thought she was using an inefficient element.
>A: Someone who can use both at once could do it, but things like compound magic are difficult. Creating a whirlwind with wind magic, and adding fire to make it something like a firestorm wouldn’t be impossible for Roswaal if he had Subaru’s imagination.
This makes Rem conjuring an icestorm at 8 fairly impressive
>Q: Are you in the group that thinks a girl who normally wears glasses blooms when she takes off her glasses? Are you in the group who thinks a girl who doesn’t normally wear glasses blooms when she has glasses on? In short, are you in the group that blooms when a girl wears glasses? Glasses Emilia is seriously an angel, too!
>A: From the fact that the chairman is the only one in To Heart that I didn’t capture, you can guess my thoughts on glasses! (note: To Heart is a visual novel, and the chairman is a character that wears glasses.)
>Q: Don’t glasses look good on Rider from Fate?
>A: Rider isn’t really my type, I guess.
>Q: Homura from Madomagi is cute in glasses, y'know.
>A: Hmm, that’s true…… But, I think that Homuhomu is cuter without glasses. I’m a fan of Sayaka-chan, though.
Well that's some interesting trivia
Will amnesiac Subaru also forget his feelings for Rem? Would be very heartwarming if Subaru manages to not behave like an asshole as something inside his heart tells him not to hurt that girl.
>mfw he's into rejected blue-haired girls
>This makes Rem conjuring an icestorm at 8 fairly impressive
That's a thing I realized as well. She does that a few times to kill Witch Cultists, doesn't she?
Ram still has some feelings for Rem, and Crusche seems to trust and be friendly towards Felix. When Subaru woke up, the huge Land Dragon didn't freak him out or anything. He patted it on the snout.
Chances are that while he might act like an asshole, he's going to still feel some fondness for Rem.
>Normally the people who’ve reached the pinnacles of magic would be developing more, but in Lugunica, Ferris and Roswaal haven’t got any interest in that at all.
I knew they were useless shits
>Q: Putting Roswaal’s three titles together, he’s the “Traffic Light”.
>A: I just noticed that.
And will munch red carpet
Given that is a superfluous statement in the contest of completing the tower, pointing it out this way would be a petty punctiliousness
The different narrative context wouldn't make him look at her as the "designated heroine", skimming off all the idiocy that originated his obsession. And in Arc 2 he found Rem sexually attractive too before she went murderous on him so that would stay and certainly her being in a coma would obviate perceiving her as a threat.
Emilia probably lacks the initiative and the intention to cover the role Rem had in arc 3. Also an "Episode 13" being there at all depends on whether Subaru will recover his own memories before Rem wakes up. Also, Rem DOES understand Subaru and thus would handle his ravings much differently than Emilia did.
I would look forward to a situation like that because Subaru experiencing Emilia without his delusional baggage since Arc 1 would make him have a more clear position towards her when he'll be back to himself
On a side node, Ram omitting Emilia in her explanation would be kinda on purpose from her part
>On a side node, Ram omitting Emilia in her explanation would be kinda on purpose from her part
I suppose that's true in the context of them trying to tell him who he is, but it's irrelevant in terms of why he's there.
>Emilia or any other character will remind him of his feelings for the characters surrounding him
That's retarded, why would you tell an amnesiac shit like that?
Unless they're already in a formal relationship, telling him "Well, you really loved Rem and Emilia." is just going to make him confused since he has no idea who these people are anyway.
This isn't exactly a waifuwar thing. This is trying to analyze how different circumstances might result in psuedo-Arc 1 Subaru sperging in a different manner. Back in Arc 1, Subaru used his favorite games, manga, and anime as references to compare his situation to.
Awakening in his present circumstances, who is Subaru likely to designate as the love interest/main heroine? The reward at the end of his quest? How is he going to perceive Julius's character role, being that Julius is the only other man in the party?
In a mostly female cast, isn't the only other dude usually the buttmonkey best friend who gets treated like trash?
Nah. Subaru is going to be a prick to Julius and manage to piss off most of the girls, before coming to the conclusion that he himself is the actual jackass best friend who everyone treats like shit. This is his comical amnesia Arc where he acts like even more of a tool than usual.
>This isn't exactly a waifuwar thing. This is trying to analyze how different circumstances
It's not the speculations but the retardation that comes with it.
>"OH, OH, FINALLY, MY WAIFU WILL GET THE FIRST SEAT, EMILIA BTFO!"
>Awakening in his present circumstances, who is Subaru likely to designate as the love interest/main heroine?
Should I even bother answering this question? If you truly want to analyze and dissect this, I'd say he'll still go for Emilia first, because Rem is currently unconscious, he'll meet with Emilia first, he'll see that Rem is the twin of Ram and a maid, he'll also aim for the queen and not for the maid, I also actually doubt that Ram will try to push him towards her sister for anything more than "Save her.", which is the only thing I can't foresee, how will he react knowing that he wanted to save her? Is she part of the harem or is she a love interest now?
What if Emilia does interject with "You're helping me in the Royal Selection as my knight" (even if I doubt she will)?
We're not even sure if he'll act like a sperg this time around because the characters knowing him will most likely placate his retardation.
Julius himself might actually act differently because of what he lived through with Subaru before.
Meaning that all of you are opting for the worst case scenario, to be honest. If they explain how dangerous the situation is and how weak he is, we might just see an useless Subaru and that's it.
you're disregarding the subconscious feelings an amnesiac person still has for the people he forgot
he'll probably think it's his first quest to wake the sleeping beauty and all that shit
Ho can Subaru conclude Rem being a random nobody when they're through the trouble of an impossible dungeon tu cure her, needless to say they'll also inform him it was his decision in the first place.
Also Rem isn't dressed as a maid there
Basically since Puck is drawing the mana out of you and causing you to freeze he can directly freeze an opponent. Rem can manipulate water/liquids so she can't freeze people the way Puck can, but apparently can use blood as a weapon.
If Tappei decides to go that route, but then he'll also remember how he feels about Emilia, so by that logic, it'll end like "MUH HAREM".
Although, I do see him thinking it's his first quest.
I never said he'll conclude that she's a random nobody, I said that he'll conclude she's someone from the household by how Ram is dressed and Ram being her sister.
And she's Ram's twin, doesn't Ram wear her maid outfit everywhere? Why would he expect her to be anything except a maid or someone of the lower ranks?
And of course, this is why I also said:
>how will he react knowing that he wanted to save her? Is she part of the harem or is she a love interest now?
There are multiple possibilities of how he'll take the whole "This dungeon is impossible" thing and that depends on how well the other characters explain his situation and their general situation.
As he said, neither of them are wearing maid outfits. Ram isn't acting in an official capacity for Roswaal and everyone is dressed appropriately for the climate and traveling.
>As he said
He never said that, he said Rem isn't wearing a maid's outfit, not that Ram isn't wearing one.
So if they're not wearing those, then sure, we might not see that type of bias.

Videogames don't have impossible dungeons.
Being a maid is irrelevant, Subaru is bound to surmise that according to the story he's in she's important to him, and could even lead to an illusion on the lines of "I'm on a quest to save my promised girlfriend that has fallen to an ill fate"
Nah. They're suggesting Subaru's going to direct some of his old style jackassery towards Rem. When he was first summoned, he was looking for something to give him direction and purpose. Something which he had the potential to become extremely obsessive about.
There's not much to help Emilia with at the tower, so he might not focus on her the same way he did in Arc 1. Or maybe he will. But the possibility is there.
The point is that circumstances are extremely different from his original summoning, so his interpretation of the scenario will likewise differ. It's not like Princesses living as maids is unusual in fairy tales.
