That's disgusting, that's clearly his sister Yoiko.
I want to be Ranma and have sex with cute anons!
Me too. I bet getting pushed into the floor and getting pounded from behind feels amazing.
I already said I want cute anons to fuck me.
you are fucking girl ranma and turns back into a guy. What happen?
>Herms can impregnate themselves so why not.
Man, I've never thought about that before.
They... can't. Hermaphrodites usually either have one set of working sex organs or are entirely sterile. Having both a working set of balls and ovaries would mean you have a conjoined twin.
>Having someone inside of you without knowing it
>would this more or less just giving birth to your clone?
Every child is a clone.
The difference is, while your child would not have any genes that you do not have, it would not get all the genes you have.
For every gene there is a 50% probability that it will get identical genes where you have different ones.
So he or she would not be identical to you.
It would be very painful.
No seriously it hurts. There are not much in the way of pleasure sensors in the actual manko. Most of it is mental or clitoral stimulation unless you are one of those lucky 1/20 girls with some super sensitive g-spot.
Chimeras are a thing for this reason, but I still argue it would both be "you" since its still one mind controlling the entire body, despite its original origins.
So yeah, if you are a rare chimera with duel ovaries and testicles that miraculously are both fertile you could impregnate yourself and have one half of your body be the parent of the other half.
Okay so maybe I'm fucking dumb but
>Chimeras are a thing
Like, the mystical beast? or it's used to describe animals with 2 heads or something like this?
>what is google?
Its when multiple fertilized cells with different genetics fuse into a single person for some reason in the womb, leading to a person who has a body made of different people with different genes and sometimes blood types. Some are more obvious with different skin tones and some go their whole lives without knowing half of them was a sibling.
>Mfw one of the oldest French manga editor announced today that they will republished the newer version of the manga which was released last year in Japan
God damn it feels good to be French sometimes.
And for those who wonder why it's such a great news, they published the first version of the manga in France in 1994 and were fucking expensive to get since then.
Everytime they touch cold water they turn into whatever cursed lake they fell into.
Their brain and personality stay the same but until they get in contact with hot water they can't get back to their original form.
It's mostly because he WANTS to act differently to escape how the whole man among men is suppose to be seen. Really, Ranma doesn't care about that shit, it's just honor that is keeping him doing it and also social pressures. Girl ranma allows him to be free to act how he wants, since he isn't expected to act 'manly' all the time if he is a girl. If anything, Girl Ranma is the true personality under all the huff and puff he puts on.
You could make an argument about hormones though, they do cause you to act differently. Sucks to think that our entire existence is dictated by chemicals.
Honestly isn't the first time I've seen this. There's a Busou Shinki doujinshi where a small robot doll fucks her owner's dick with her tiny futa cock and you can just see her robot sperm charging forward into his ballsack to rape his sperm. I'd fap to it but Busou Shinki was shit so I won't.
Okay fest, fuck you, Bushou Shinki was neat.
Secondly that doujin prelude the anime for several years, Busou Shinki are a series of figurine which used to be very popular.
Just had a weird dream yesterday. There's this little girl (still a little kid) with ranma hair, red hair and all who's quite an active girl and somehow an exhibitionist (she stripped all the time). Her name was Otogi and the mother turns out to be Ranma.
I don't know who the father is.
IT NEEDS MORE GIMME MORE
There is only one best girl on Ranma.
>I feel like I may have gone a little too far in places
Definitively time to stop snow.
what the hell's going on in this thread
Bless you, you beautiful bastard.
IT'S OVER. IT'S ALL OVER.
Ranma turns into a female version of himself. He doesn't turn into the girl that drowned in the spring. Herb fell in the same spring and his female form is completely different.
How many of guys would be huge sluts if you were chicks? Be honest.
Why would you be so hurtful?
Why does Ranma still have so much staying power, despite it ending decades ago?
>people think Ranma just wasn't being tsundere when he called Akane "uncute"
It's a good manga? It's really funny and the characters are all great.
Everyone with taste knows that the best pairing is
Girl-Ranma and Akane.
>Get very excited about Sailor moon crystal
>Mfw final result
God, I hope they won't butcher the new Sakura too...
I'd be afraid because I don't know if the modern anime industry can handle something like Ranma 1/2.
Like, the characters aren't the deepest individuals in fiction, but most of them don't really fit into the easy archetypes that modern anime loves slotting everyone into because Otaku can't stand not having the same tropes play out again and again.
How they'd do Ranma and Akane is something I'd worry about. Because a key part of their relationship is that their arguments are mutual. It isn't just The Tsundere going "B-b-baka!" at the bland love interest.
Ranma's kind of a prick and will often get Akane mad because he's a prick. Akane doesn't get embrassed and flustered when she does something to show him affection.
Not to mention a lot of the time the two are simply shown hanging out together and the bickering they do is more like the usual thing you see with friends giving each other crap.
And then there's all the other characters. How would they do Kuno? Or Ryoga?
>the one where Ryoga and Ranma fuck in the bath and it's cute as fuck and then the last page hints Ranma is pregnant
The anime has a ton of episodes not based off the manga. For some reason the writers really liked Happosai.
(Seriously, the Ranma 1/2 anime is more "filler" then the canon manga)
Why do you think that character appeared more often in the anime made to capture as wide a base as possible than the manga made by a single woman? It doesn't take much reasoning to figure out.
Ryoga buys a magic fishing rod that makes whoever is caught by it love the person using it (It's a pun based off "Koi")
He uses it to try and get Akane, but messes up and snags Ranma.
The arc shows Ranma getting progressively more obsessed with Ryoga to his absolute horror.
Oh and Akane learns about the magic rod and thinks it means that Ryoga is gay.
So the whole Ranma X Ryoga shit was fueled by this in the end?
Can't forget that that arc also gave us this scene.
The anime writers/directors really wanted there to be an actual love triangle between Akane and Shampoo over Ranma (with Ukyo sometimes shoved in) when in the manga Shampoo alternates between annoyance and threat.
Ranma threads are the best.
Kind of wish the anime had been in the style of the first OP.
It was cute.
I'd honestly suggest reading the manga.
The story is rather episodic and sitcomish overall, there is character development but it's fairly gradual and mostly for the two leads Ranma and Akane as well as Ranma's main male rivals Ryoga and Mousse.
It's really funny and the characters are likable even when they're being jerks.
Quality thread right here, include me in the screencap pls
Editor man please come back and make her boobs bigger too.
If you thought the first 18 episodes had no progression, then, yeah, just drop it. Until midway through the third season the anime is always introducing new recurring characters and techniques, but after a while everything comes to a halt and the show becomes almost entirely throw away filler.
And the worst part of that filler is that they even refuse to use stuff introduced by the manga after a certain point for some random reason.
if ranma gets pregnant and then changes to a boy, what would happen to the baby?
hole gets tight pushing your dick out while her clitoris changes to a penis as she becomes a man
>tfw watching ranma on shitty second-hand hard subbed VHS tapes way back in the day
She's the fiancee with the least baggage about his curse though. And technically the longest one with a mutual affirmative.
You can't exactly start counting from when Soun and Genma first made the agreement. Did even Kasumi exist back then?
Rumiko went back and forth on what would happen, starting with telling people not to think about it because it was perverted, then thinking about it herself and saying that the baby would be destroyed, which is why the locking ladle was made and used by the Musk Dynasty to keep cursed animals from changing back. Then just saying that it would be kept in a pocket until the person changed back.
>which is why the locking ladle was made and used by the Musk Dynasty to keep cursed animals from changing back.
Would the kids of the cursed animal turn human without the ladle?
Was that shit actually ever finished? I remember watching that as a kid but I could only catch a few episodes because it aired when school wasn't over on most days. Also that blue haired girl made me rock hard.
Because it's sexy as fuck.
These music videos are where I
fell in love with Girl Ranma. Like it wasn't just exceptionally girly nature, but it was different from the portrayal in Pretty Womanhood.
You mean, nobody likes Kodachi.
Hey, baby, how'd you like to let me break the 'never stick your dick in crazy rule?
Kodachi is gorgeous. Since there are oldfags who already brought up Ranma fanfics from back in the day, one particularly memorable one pops into mind called The Black Rose. It took a serious attempt at pairing Ranma x Kodachi, and did a wonderful job at it.
Also, Ucchan is best fiance.
I dont know about any other anons, but almost all of my fetishs came from Ranma 1/2 without me even noticing.
Ranma was secret kid brainwashing, its not even funny how hard chinese dresses turn me on.
In the 1990s, this was by FAR the most discussed and fandom enriched series among Western anime fans. Dragonball is fun but tidies up its own pairings and has a reasonably tight lore that is set.
Ranma on the other hand was a fun open book of sorts, it never had a conclusive ending and gave rise to endless discussion. Someone here mentioned the Ranma fanfic world and its size previously in its heyday. Before there were organized websites and central anime forums (4chan counts too), Ranma fandom pages ruled the English internet anime world. People dedicated THOUSANDS of hours into making Ranma specific mailing lists and discussion boards, lots of which was due to the immense amount of Ranma fanfiction being pumped out compared to everything else.
Ranma has a little bit of everything. It has comedy, it has fighting, and it has some damn memorable girls. Genderbending before transgender propaganda was even a thing. It's one of the few harems I can think of where you'd be glad to be in the protag's position, because you aren't such a weak beta loser.
I will have to look for it some day. I mean it's gonna be hard considering it's not a very special name given that it's Kodachi's nickname. The only Kodachi centric fanfic I remember ever existing was one that was from Hikaru Gosunkugi's POV.
I remember when I heard Kodachi's crying in the subbed version of the aftermath of the gymnastic fight. It tugged my heart string because it sounded so authentic. Either Kodachi would be a good actor or there's something really buried in there that she's able to dismiss so easily in just a few minutes.
This thread is the best birthday gift i've had today.
It was written by Richard Lawson. I googled, and the guy STILL has a fucking page up. I applaud his tenacity, either that or he forgot about it last 10-15 years.
He was most famous for writing Thy Outward Part, which was a serious attempt at seeing what Ranma's life would've been like if he never found the ladle cure for his locked curse, when the Chinese hybrid-animal warriors (It's been YEARS, I gotta reread all the manga now) cursed him into his female form permanently.
Amazing that I'm sharing fics that are close to or even over 20 years old. These were good times, when people had higher writing standards and mailing lists and group critiques really helped to bring out some great fanfic stories out on top. Now... how else can you find the gems among all the shit and sand?
>Love gender bender comedy
>Kind of a /d/eviant so also works for my pervy interests.
>mostly believe most trans people are mentally unsound, and pray to any god that is listening they don't think a show like Ranma validates their mental illness.
>Thy Outward Part
I swear I've read this before and don't remember it. I used to read a lot but I have a terrible memory for these things. I'd probably remember it if I saw portions of it, because I used to dig that kind of premise back in the day before I became a Kodachifag.
What a blast from the past! I must've read Genma's Daughter and its superior sequel, Equal Halves, at least 4-5 times from start to finish. She was still doing work with her rather uninteresting Notes from Julliard. I found myself having difficulty caring for it or following it.
Anyone read Fragments, by Ling? It was hands down the best Ranma x Ranko (female Ranma) fic written, and she actually put in the effort to craft some quality, worthwhile prose.
Also was a big fan of SgtRanma's works, it was fun and very different.
Remember all those fics where people would take Ranma fanfiction and write the characters from Mystery Science Theater 300 reacting to it?
>Remember all those fics where people would take Ranma fanfiction and write the characters from Mystery Science Theater 300 reacting to it?
You and I are probably close to the same age... I still remember chatting in IRC channels when fics for MST3K were being chosen and discussed.
I remember when fanfics got to the point of being almost as fun to read as actual episodes/chapters, since they had the formula down so well.
Even the porn fics that had the characters written well were amazing.
The only time I ever read them were from Mystery Octagon Theater, which were hit-or-miss. But they just loved a guy named James, who included Ranma in his weird fighting game self-insert crossovers. The fanfics themselves made me laugh more than the MSTs did, though. It's kind of like what you would have gotten if CWC ever wrote a crossover fanfic.
I do miss the days when people had both good writing and at least decent characterization. Now it's either mostly bad quality porn writing just to get some faps and fetish fuel, or good quality but it has no soul or character to it. Sure, there are some gems, but they are even harder to find than the yesteryears where only the few talented ones had an audience and were probably edited by MLs.
I don't know what I expected when I came into this thread.
Same exact phenomenon has happened with the rest of the world. Zero quality control accountability for TONS of content. News media is the most obvious example of this.
Considering remakes and rehashes are more popular than ever, I always wondered how a Ranma revival anime would be like. They don't even have to reboot it, although I'd be fine with that if it meant more animated Ranma-chan.
Akane did tell Ranma to his face that she thought he was going to try to rape her during that sickness arc in the manga. Pretty much every character in that series had their asshole moments.
Same problem as with UY rebooting it would be hard because most of the VA's are no longer doing that kind of work/quit the anime industry/died so you'd have a whole new cast and you know how touchy people can be with those.
I was under the impression that most of them are still working, with the exception of Kuno's actor, who passed away.
Hiromi Tsuru still does Bulma, and her voice still makes me diamonds as Ukyo with that cute accent. Megumi Hayashibara still works too, no?
I've only heard concern for a Ranma revival/reboot, which is definitely warranted. Times have changed since the late 80's/early 90's. But honestly, the most common thing I've heard from people is "Oh, but they won't be able to show breasts anymore," and "They can't do gender bending shenanigans anymore."
Personally, I don't see those being an issue. On the subject of raunchiness, even at its peak, Ranma is a lot more tame then a lot of anime we have these days. Hell, pretty much every breast shot had an actual context to it instead of just fanservice. I don't think the gender bending shenanigans would be an issue either, as similarly, we have plenty of modern gender bending anime that goes way beyond what Ranma ever did.
What I think is far more understandable is a concern for quality. However, the original anime is already notorious for having poor quality animation for long periods of time (see Seasons 3 and 4 especially), so it can't get much worse.
I'm all for a reboot/continuation. Honestly, I just really want to see some of the later characters and plots show up. I still think it's a crime that there was never an Herb movie. Big Trouble in Nekonlon just felt like a gimmicky version of the Herb saga. Though I get they want/need to incorporate as much of the main cast as possible in feature showings.
It's been nearly a DECADE, anon. Where the fuck has the time gone?
That OVA was literal tits, it really did bring me back.
I agree. The genderbending thing in Ranma wasn't tasteless, and it is far tamer than lots of shit today.
I would love to see the Herb saga, in fact lots of good arcs. I've always wanted to see Akari Unryuu get animated, and see the mirror clone arc animated.
The voice cast would more be an issue considering how much time has passed and whether or not they're still able to play their roles. Back in the day, pretty much all of the cast expressed their desire to return to their roles if the show ever came back. I think the 2008 OVA proves that too. Wow, it's already been 9 years since that released.
On a similar note, Kappei Yamaguchi plays Rinne's father in the anime adaptation of Rinne, and it was recently revealed the Megumi Hayashibara will be cast as his mom.
>It's been nearly a DECADE, anon.
Megumi Hayashibara would 100% return to Ranma. It's the show that really gave her first break in her career. I remember this from an old Megumi Hayashibara docu-manga about her. She was very fond of the character and the series.
Remember when fanfic writers thought that Shampoo's mace thingies (chui) were called bonbori (paper lantern shaped like maces)?
Herb, Akari, Konatsu (so much potential), Ryu Kumon, mirror, fishing rod of love (that one would never fly today), and so much more. I'm right there with you.
I...I do... and if you hadn't posted that I still would've thought the same. The last 20 years has been a lie.
I mean, Google was very primitive back then. I can see a fanfic writer seeing these and thinking, "Oh, so that's a bonbori! Sugoi!"
Also, fanfic writers are autistic fucks whom you can't correct because they did muh research over at early 2000s Wikipedia.
Do you mean to tell me that the reason why Google Image Search lists a section of bonbori results as "weapon" is because Ranma fanfic writers couldn't tell the difference between a lantern and twin maces?
>those crazy herbal/plant twins from Shampoo's hometown
Ah, Pink and Link. That would've been a fun one to see animated.
Lots of "Japanese" research was done by culling from other fics at that time. A lot of writers relied on the FFML and rec.creative networks to do further research.
>fishing rod of love (that one would never fly today)
Ranma also showed more than a few instances of drugging or giving roofies to a female character.
Would the fishing rod arc really be that controversial? A good portion of the comedy in that arc was Ryoga shitting his pants for being a dumbass and not thinking ahead of what Akane would REALLY think of him.
