Pretty much this, although I'm not quite sure about the first place because the anime adds a lot by having music and voices but novel has the best ending and doesn't stretch the story too much by giving senpai and class prez too much focus. Manga is definitely the bottom. Some parts were really "dark" it became kind of comical and silly. Also Misaki in novel and anime is an unstable teen, manga Misaki is just batshit insane, it's almost an insult to her character in the novel and anime.

man, that's exactly the problem I have with the manga. that plus the ending were just so much worse than in the novel or the anime. that stuff came out of left field and didn't fit her character at all. it's a shame, I was enjoying the manga up to that point
