The last quarter of the show outside of Ikomans transformation was lackluster, but I did enjoy it overall, and I'm looking forward to season 2. The first two episodes were 10/10 though

I think the problem with Kabaneri was that it should not have followed the SnK formula that much past the premise and beginning. It was obviously a case of Wit wanting their own property and cashing in on what was already proven popular. Is the second season even confirmed, though?

The train "main" crew and premise are already comfy.
Biba is such shit villain and character overall. He's not even a love-to-hate villain.

The show was pretty good outside of Biba's bullshit . Thankfully IkoMAN was good enough of a protagonist to carry the show together with the supporting cast.

Yes, didn't you see the news? I liked it well enough, the cast sans-Biba and his crew was nice, and even with Biba I thought he was okay for giving the show some sense of closure in case it didn't do well.

Glad this got a sequel.
