Like the Prota has ancient sword he fights with and in the final battle against whatever evil god, the sword is actually the legendary 'godslayer', oh my who would have thought but there were no past hints given and the story of the sword itself told it was somewhere else but thus the writer now includes some backstory that someday blabla prota family got it.

Okay yeah that example sucks, not sure how to say it, basically the plot was written as Index is just some little girl used by some magicians, plot has no problem.
Then instead we go, IT HAD to be the reborn daughter of Aleister ... why?
So Lola can give Aleister back what he lost, torture him but she ddint really care to regain her.
So now the writer needs to rewrite basically the plot so that this would fit in. He probably hadnt thougt of it in first volume already.

Magic gods came kinda out of nowhere, of course we knew they existed thanks to Ollerus but not how strong they are.
They could have been just the top of the top magician elite and there would have been no problem with it, instead ot this god power thing.
