What's the other reason of watching anime than "fun"?
>>157483736
Deeper fun.
>>157483798
How deep?
>>157483818
Deeper than Love Live can ever be.
Masturbation, although I guess that's also pretty fun.
Watching for plot.

try to masturbate 10 times in a row
>>157483995
Not really.
>>157483736
To have fun arguing about them with anons

Fun is Fun. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference. The degreee is arbitary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one fun and another… I’d rather not choose at all.
>>157484009
So you don't have fun doing that?
Painkiller for depression.
>>157484091
Are you in peace with yourself now that you have posted that shit?
>>157483736
Not much of a reason in itself but it's always a bonus when you find out about a new artist you like that did the OP/ED or when the OST is good. Gives you something new to listen to even after you've completed the show.

Anime is a form of entertainment, no matter which way you slice it you are doing it for fun. Unless your job is to translate subtitles or something.
You could watch it to try and learn some Japanese mannerisms and such if you are trying to learn Japanese. Or to try and get your entry level anime knowledge down for when you travel to the promised land. Maybe you are forcing yourself to watch it just so you can impress some 3d slut/guy who likes it.
Maybe you are an artist and use it for inspiration and technique development? I don't know man this is the vaguest thread ever. There is nothing not fun about watching anime. I have "fun" just laying in bed not being at work.
Seeing what my youth could have been like.
>>157483736
Why would you need any other reason?
>>157483736
Escapism.
>>157483736
What's the other reason of having any hobby than to have "fun"?
Fun is such a vague term I wish people would stop use to it to describe something.
>>157484942
>no matter which way you slice it you are doing it for fun
No, I do it to be entertained. It can be fun, scary or sad or any other feeling I'm getting out of the piece of entertainment. I sure as hell didn't have fun with Clannad for example.

>>157483736
It stops me from having to look at my own reflection in the screen.
>>157484716
What do you mean?
>>157483736
To fill that hollow feeling of loneliness lurking inside your heart.
>>157483736
It's a unique and versatile medium.
>>157484091
Fun things are fun
>>157483736
Boredom.
>>157484942
>3D slut
nice pleonasm, anon
>>157483736
Having a slice of life is important for a nolife.

What's the point of watching films? What's the point of reading books? What's the point of playing vidya?
>>157483736
fap fuel
>>157483736
escapism
>>157484942
Literature is also for fun and that's considered intellectual so anime is also for intellectuals.
>>157483736
To get context for doujins.
>>157483736
For the lore of a different world and interesting characters that I can feel empathy for.
fun as well
>>157483736
Wasted so much time on it, cant stop now...
>>157483736
Lots of fun.
>>157483736
I think I should stop coming here and watching anime entirely. I've only watched one show per season for the past year, but I still come here out of habit everyday.
>>157483995
>Masturbation
Forgot. Anime and manga also perfecting fulfills my fetishes, where western porn falls flat. So I'll end up here regardless it seems.
Escapism?
>>157483736
Escapism. For about 24 minutes per episode, I can self-insert as a generic Japanese high school guy who's surrounded by cute girls and the occasional sexy teacher.
>>157483995
This is the one and only reason.
People usually do what they like to do, why someone would do something they don't like for other reason than being forced to it? Who's forcing you to watch anime?
To kill time or in my case kill the last 20 years
