I know you're gonna call me /v/ or something, but it feels like the ones making these images really want to make it blatantly clear that their top priority is moe, and anything that deviates too far is automatically Reddit.

Euphonium was good, Maid Dragon's alright (though even it tends to get a lot of the reddit-shit for some reason) because of some exceptional characters, I personally liked GJ-Bu, not sure why except for Kirara being a miracle of the universe. But fucking nothing happens in things like Kin-iro Mosaic and Yuru Yuri, at least relatively, the former especially not doing anything particularly new or interesting. I'm not outright saying they're bad, my tastes are different from yours, but was there seriously nothing better out at the same time? At the very least I'll admit they have a lesser chance of crashing and burning at the end like Flip Flappers, or LWA is in danger of doing, though recent episodes have been promising in my opinion.

I'm a newfag ala 2013, but bear with me at least. I'd like to know, honestly, if there's some motive to these relatively samey results. And I understand if there is. Trying to alienate crossboarders? That makes sense to me, most of the other mainstream boards are pretty abhorrent. I just want to know if there is something like that, or if I'm just off my rocker.

Admittedly, I'd probably comprehend this a lot better if I was around longer, and most probably do, so I understand if I don't deserve to be spoonfed. Just know I'm not trying to antagonize here, I'm just very curious about this thing I haven't figured out yet.

ACCA seemed promising for like 10 minutes, then they had a scene where a superior officer started explaining basic shit to the MC that he clearly already knew just for exposition. This terrible writing style carried through the show all the way to episode 6 where i finally dropped it. Only reason i kept up that long is for my love of Shingo Natsume but holy shit his style just did not fit this story that really needed a similer style as House of Five leaves got in it's adaptation.

I'm sure the ACCA sourcematerial is better since the story had potential to be interesting, but the adaptor just could not capture it in any interesting way.

Other "slow" shows with actual good writing that one could watch instead include:

Given that it was anime-original, it's not proper to try and do anything drastic with the characters' established personalities or backstories (what little there were). Given that borderline, I think the episode acted very well within it along with another cute scene at the end.

I really don't quite understand why Maidragon gets so much flak. I think it's just an effect of a degenerate mangaka with a fetish-driven manga suddenly getting an adaption by an accomplished anime studio. This isn't some plug for Kyoani, it's just that Cool really can't draw for shit, and so the adapting studio just took things into their own hands for the most part. Nobody saw it coming, and so some of the more salient gimmicks speared right out into the open: Kanna and Lucoa in particular. I still don't know why it maybe drives some sort of aggressive stance toward the anime, but I think that's what happened.

I kept watching it because Tohru is love, though, so it's not like we're in it for some plot or theme. Same for any of the other recent or current meme shows: Gabu, Kemono--Demi-chan was actually nice, though.

I think people are just grappling with "Why?" but in ways that aren't necessarily productive. It's nitpicking, but I'd like to see a diagram or some kind of picture of her muscular structure when she's in human form.

Like, in example, Kagura from Gintama, she's super fucking strong, but she looks "human". That's my problem. The common problem in writing / creating characters without needing to add in a visual aid to go along with the strength that the author's unable to explain through visuals alone.

Tohrus muscle structure must be insane. Whenever I see insanely strong characters, I just picture their muscles as insanely elastic metal, I'm fucking mental I swear to god.
