What do people think about Hanabi ? (without comparing her to Akane)
Was she a good girl ?

What do people think about Akane ?
She obviously wasn't a good person at the beginning of the show before becoming a better or less malevolent person at the end but don't you think she was over villainized by both the male and female audience ?( not all obviously )

In my opinion, BD sales wise it didn't do well because majority of anime fans still prefer other type of or have different taste in anime. Not to mention like akane's character in it , it was a very polarizing show even for people who watched it, some loved it and some found it to be utter trash. This is my opinion and i will admit i could be wrong here.

I did not think it was depressing. Most characters dealt with their issues. In my case it also helps that I liked Akane as a character and was satisfied she found love in the end.

The entire plot was pretty ironic. The paneling in the anime didn't help, seems like they couldn't decide wether to make an adaptation or lift entire scenes straight from the manga.
