All of Trigger's shows are so close to be fantastic, but there's a huge flaw in them that keeps them down. That's why I just can't quite say I love them.

I don't get why everyone sucks off Imaishi all the time either, he's a sloppy as fuck director. TTGL is fun but it's also a gigantic mess where you have scenes like the opening that the production team just forgot about, and he also gave us the abysmal fight scenes in that retarded Okada BRS show.

Anyway, I don't like anything they've put out besides the LWA OVA and Triggerniggers are obnoxious. The actual LWA TV series is unbelievably terrible.

LWA TV is fine, not amazing but a solid 7/10 and a step up from the misguided second OVA assuming the final episodes deliver, not sure what the deal is with this hate train calling it the worst thing ever.

Can't speak for everyone, but I can't stand it, I dropped it after 10 episodes hoping it'd get good at some point.

My problems are that I don't like any of the characters, they're all unlikeable caricatures of who they were in the first OVA. It's episodic to the point where all of the unlikeable characters are completely static, and that's what I can't stand. Akko being a retard isn't charming the first time and it isn't charming the nth time when she never learns anything.

The episodes themselves aren't particularly interesting either. I don't remember what happens and more importantly, I don't remember when. It all blurs together and I just don't care at that point. I cannot for the life of me remember what happens in what episode.

The scissors were always just a footnote to the clothes theme.
How the clothes directly define the identity of their wearers, how nudity rapresents setting yourself apart from society and the roles and expectations it imposes, the first half of the show took a lot of time to estabilish all of that.
Duality itself is reductive, there aren't just Ryuko and Satsuki coming together, but a whole lot of incomprehensible people learning to work for a common goal.

Because they haven't made a good full length show. The LWA OVA was pretty cool though, but there is nothing of worth otherwise. It's a shame as Imiashi has made some pretty neat anime. If only KlK was as clever as PSG.

Trigger's problem is that they haven't fucking separated themself from Imaishi. He's a literal fucking god, but Trigger themselves hasn't done anything to seperate themself from Imaishi's identity. It feels more like "Imaishi and a bunch of faggots he brings along to do help him do his work" then Studio Trigger.

Kill la Kill and Space Patrol Luluco were amazing. Inferno Cop was stupid fun. What else have they made? They've made Inou-Battle which most people forgot existed, Ninja Slayer which most people think is just a shitty Inferno Cop, Kiznaiver which was just a bunch of melodramatic nonsense that took great characters and went absolutely nowhere with them to have a terrible ending from a poorly structured story, and Little Witch Academia fucking suffered heavily in the first six episodes due to no sense of progress.

Until Trigger manages to make a good show that isn't Imaishi working his otherwordly magic to save anime, they're going to be a shit studio.

Mappa is like the same age and it's separated itself from Madhouse quite easily and has managed to make a name for themselves already.
