She ended up being a lot cheaper than I expected.
Is there any decent posable EVA-01 scale model, or should I start looking into plamo? I want something that looks nice on a display, and from what I could find, there are a metric fuckton of plastic models, which I assume need building and painting (things I'm not good at nor want to bother with), some Revoltech ones which look tiny and cheap, and a Real Action Heroes one which is hard to find and insanely expensive.
I always have a
blastwith Halloween Maki
i'm also at 2 at the moment - but does that mean anything?
Well, if the list doesn't change for several month' i'll get there.
It cost me a freaking fortune but how could I say no to the best pokegirl / best starter combo?
>Have 8 either on me or PO'd
My maiko Sayaka just came in and small defects are all over the place. Little scratches, black dots, dust particles or hair (?) trapped under the paint. The connections between differents parts look sloppy with visible glue like with the bag she's holding. And finally there's a giant gap where the right arm connects with the body. Even my one Griffon figure isn't that bad.
Is that par for the course with this line or am I particularly unlucky?
Sorry for the shit photo but I only have my phone camera right now and I think it's better to have something to illustrate my post.
Anyway she came in damaged, probably due to shit packaging so I'll try to get a replacement one.
>tfw mine has been sitting in customs for days now even though I already paid their filthy ransom ages ago
I am not seeing what you are referring to. Black dots and etc might be dust or small paint transfers. You can get one of those magic erasers and gently remove them if it's on a light surface.
Stuff like the "glue" or how things are welded are just how the manufacturing is. You can check other people's photos. If you are going to nitpick every single thing then you are going to have a hard time in this hobby. However, lately figure qualities have been going up along their their price.
I also own 2 of these. Is that a magical number or something?
Does manda undervalue if you ask them on the comment section of the order? Or do you have to sent them an email? Because my customs can hit me if the order is more than $30 and the figure I want is $35.
You should ask the store in question before making an order. I've heard through the grapevine some of them may even cancel your order and ban you outright if you tell them to undervalue.
I wish I had a proper camera, there's no way I can capture this kind of details with my phone, but they're easily visible with the naked eye.
>Black dots and etc might be dust or small paint transfers.
I already cleaned those, it's not what I'm complaining about.
>Stuff like the "glue" or how things are welded are just how the manufacturing is.
And I'm complaining that the manufacturing is bad. I got her for cheap but she went for 12k initially so I was expecting a something better than this.
>If you are going to nitpick every single thing then you are going to have a hard time in this hobby
It's my 17th pvc statue so far and it's the first time I see this kind of quality, so I don't feel like I'm nitpicking.
No, the damage I'm speaking of is a broken peg in her arm.
I got her for 75€ with free shipping at a local store, selling figures isn't their primary activity so I don't know what to expect from them but I'll still send them an e-mail.
Not sure how it is with other stores, but I ordered from Complex last week and asked them to undervalue to 2000 yen the comment section. They did, but I got an email saying that they won't take responsibility if something goes wrong with customs.
I thought they were just overproduced, they wouldn't be the first PMMM figures to bin. But if this kind of quality is common with them then it's understandable their price dropped so low.
It's sad because her design is lovely and the sculpt is decent.
I'm using BiJ for the first time, and with the payment request they wrote this:
>If you pay with a different email address than the one you registered on our website, please mention your order number with the payment so we can identify you more easily.
My paypal account uses a different e-mail, but when I'm sending the payment through paypal there's no field to write something and say my order number. Where I'm supposed to say this thing they asked?
I wanted more time to decide whether I should pay her or not.
I have to stop buying with my dick.
Isn't she great? Rocket Boy did such a good job on the Succubus, Alice was a no-brainer for me.
Potentially dumb question: In most situations it's better to just combine orders/shipments when you can right? I have three large scales this month and I'm still not sure if I should EMS them together or ship them with SAL separately.
In Burgerland so I don't need to worry about customs fees.
so hyped for this
akihiko yoshida is one of my favorite artists. i hope more of his designs get made into figures.
just jerked off so I have a clear mind.
objectively speaking it's a cute figure, and her body has a really nice form, specifically her waist. I'd buy it if I liked that character enough. I think you'd enjoy this figure even if you weren't thinking with your dick.
Flare hasn't fucked up a scale yet though, so its fine to get hyped
So far they haven't picked boring poses for their own sculpts but even if it was, all I want is for them to hurry the fuck up with 2B so I can get an A2.
>tfw you'll never own a 1/1scale erotic figure in your lifetime
Spent all route C waiting for the end of it to get the long hair wig.
Still, short Hair A2 is love and I kept it that way.
>Both are acceptable
The right answer.
Still, I felt 2B had the short hair department covered, so I was a bit disappointed that the in-game model for the long hair wasn't very good and was constantly clipping into her shoulders.
Adam's glasses: the best accessory.
The hair clipping just get worse with the DLC outfits
So again, I went back to good ol short hair A2
>akihiko yoshida is one of my favorite artists. i hope more of his designs get made into figures.
My sentiments exactly. I even downloaded the mobage that figure is from to check it out. Game's shit, but she's cute.
And while at it, remember kids, even AIs love figures
A2's character design feels like it was done with long hair in mind. Her outfit is quite plain so the long hair really works better against it. It struck me as an incredibly odd decision to cut her hair right at the beginning of her route - I expected the change given the parallel with 2B but not that early and meaninglessly into the route.
I am still pissed I missed the pre-order for this. I fucking hate exclusives that are not sold through normal vendors. I never understood what advantage that gave them.
I am not torn to pay 50% extra for a late preorder or wait and see if mandarake or otehrs list any when it comes out.
i just assumed the game was shit, so I didn't even play it at all, but I've been following him for a while so I'm just happy to see it. I hope more bravely default/second stuff gets made, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
>Her outfit is quite plain so the long hair really works better against it.
I think it works well, though isn't inherently better.
It wasn't without meaning, though I don't know how much we want to get into the plot of the game here.
>bronze anime figures
There was an artist at a local comic expo last month selling these. He was doing casts of figures and making bronze versions and then making little scenes with them. They lose a lot of detail from the casting though.
I remember someone was looking for a cham cham a few month ago. Amiami has a used one for a good price if that anon is still here.
Will it be available on J-List?
My BanBro nigga, jealous as fuck
What the fuck?
How many nendos did you order?
Only 3k a piece my dudes. Did you miss reserve or could you not pull the trigger? Or did you not know they were happening, because Twitter is magical for these things.
I wonder if this would look bad if I were to just assemble it(not painting it)
>had to box most of my collection for a while now
>realize I no longer care
>would not feel much if I had to sell most of my shit
Is that all it took to get out of this hobby?
I still have a few items preordered which I intend getting but I don't feel any excitement anymore, I think I'm over it.
after a while you become jaded and picky with the figures you like
you should sell a bunch of your figures, and only keep the ones you really like. and only buy new figures you really really want. you're buying figures that don't excite you that much. it's the same thing with videogames, after a while, you buy less and less games, until you're buying like 1-2 games a year.
they haven't improved at all
What's the usual time frame between an announcement and the first prototype? Depends on the popularity?
There is no usual time frame, some figures get unpainted prototypes minutes after the announcement, some others take months, some others years and some others never get past the announcement stage.
Only one I really care about. Got a bunch of Nendos and figmas, but Nep is the only thing I'm really looking forward to get.
little noah gonna be my first statue
Hibiki is sitting in my private warehouse and I can't be assed to add Racing Saber and Rin.
Not sure you could even add that considering they are being announced every few days and by the zone on large events
My April order finally got here after fighting with my post office.
>my future is uncertain right now
You've got options there.
1. Wait and see. It could very well bin at that price, who knows?
2. Use HLJ. You can order now, pay later and cancel up until they request payment which they're usually slower than other places at doing so you should have time.
3. Order it, faggot. If you really loved her you'd make it work.
The Chris thing is the full art shirt
I can't do that first part
They "lost" my package and apparently rerouted it to another office, went to that office and it wasn't there. Then I got a notice that they were going to redeliver it, but never got it the mail nor did I get a pink slip. Turns out it was never delivered in the first place and they called me to come pick it up today.
tl;dr fuck the usps it should be privatized
Who can say no to this beautiful goddess
not sure if this is a full set since i can't find any info on the makers
Too lazy to make a graphic right now, sorry. TMR came unopened from a seller who accepted my first offer for him on MFC, bless their soul, so I'm pretty hype. I've also got the Kekkai Sensen BD box coming in June.
The box was still damaged. On the phone filing a complaint right now.
next month at 101k
im hoping for as many delays as possible desu
The package is bent, can't you see?
>90's mobile phone camera quality
>expecting anyone to see what is going on
This is trolling right?
If you can't see that, you might actually be blind.
>but I already repackaged the figure to send it back
>I already repackaged the figure to send it back.
>find nice dakimakura on ebay
>obvious fake so try looking where to find real one
>find pixiv that seems to belong to the artist
>they link to aliexpress
>buy it and look at other products on their store
>unofficials mixed with official artwork
I've heard some Chinese circles sell on AliExpress, but the mix of unofficial and official artwork concerns me. Did I buy a fake or is that normal for the Chinese?
Are there any brands that specialize or release figures of older anime? I see some KOR out of MegaHouse and Beach Queens and Slayers in the OP, so it does seem to happen from time to time.
Your FIRST figure
Your Latest figure
Your holy grail
and your total figures !
Depends on the seller. I know that at least these two stores sell dakis with their own artwork.
Slolita/Moeyu - https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1903005
MGF - https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2060066 - this one sells bootlegs as well
Why not. Also went with last ordered figure.
Anybody know how long it usually takes Hobbyheart to print+ship a custom dakimakura?
I was thinking of going with Cuddlyoctopus but apparently it can take over 2 months to get it, which is pretty off-putting.
Hurry the fuck up OS, it's been seven goddamn years. I need more blue elves in my life because one is not enough.
Makes me diamonds
I don't know, I haven't watched it. I just love her design
Not the anon that was asking if the anime was good, but I want to known too, I have this series in my backlog of animes to eventually watch, I kind of remember that something that people likes of this girls is that she makes a lot of funny faces during the episodes
Bought a lot of figs in between my Aria stuff but funny how it turned out.
All this year I haven't ordered anything. Maybe summer WonFes will deliver
wew, i've been working on her all week. still need to make an eyepatch and paint/thread wrap the swords like the ones she has in her apartment
>my bunny Asmodeus took a dive off my desk and got damaged
>don't even want to look at aftermarket prices now that the show is finally out
I'll replace her one day. Maria needs a figure to go with her.
There was an anon here 3 years ago saying that choosing Alter for my first figure is a bad choice because it would put my standards too high. Well, I don't regret it at all.
Did the best I could with my phone
Selling a new and unopened Lineage 2 blue Dark Elf, free shipping.
Will give a discount to buyf/a/gs.
Bought her on a whim from amiami since I like elves but I can't stand having a fig of a character that I have never read/watched/played its source material
Neither of them have any QC issues that I've noticed, so I'm pretty happy with both of them. Ripple only had the problem have not really having a good angle to display her at, but that will just take some time to figure out.
I bought a lightbox off amazon for ~$50 and wow does it make a difference, still just using my phone for a camera but I've got more pics if anyone cares.
I fucked up! This stupid scale is holding everything up!
Moved into a new apartment alone
I can finally weeb out in peace
No explaining, no hiding
Anywhere in NYC sell decent figures so I don't have to wait so goddamn long?
First fig on the list is pic
I can't wait for that freedom. I gave some figures out, but some hidden away
Yes, I've lurked these threads for three years waiting for the day when I could finally just have figs out in the open.
I'm finally making over $100k/year so I can afford to feed the habit
Triella is also on the list
>People like this don't actually exist, right?
Of course they do, they're the reason most Japanese places' used ratings are so incredible. More surprising is that they exist outside of Japan.
Consider looking through the pre-owned section of Amiami and Mandarake. With EMS they'll get to you in 3-5 days and even with shipping are often cheaper than buying from a local import shop.
fucked that up, one more try before I commit sudoku.
I need better lighting don't I?
A real camera goes without saying obviously.
Yes but I like all the angles so it works out
>Don't bother with preorders because they get stuff months after japan.
Exception is stuff like Aniplex or Hobby Japan exclusives though. It can be easier then going through a proxy to just order those domestically.
How do I deal with wanting like 7 figures at once.
How do you decide.
>Yes, I've lurked these threads for three years waiting for the day when I could finally just have figs out in the open.
You're literally me, thr only difference being that
I still don't own shit.
She's finally here, buyfriends. Third scale so far.
Forgot to resize it last time.
>Don't bother with preorders because they get stuff months after japan.
I made this mistake for the Momohime re-release. There was some kind of free shipping deal and my friend sent me a promotion code for a certain percentage off, so I figured I would pre-order since it's so cheap. It released in March and now 2 months later they still haven't even sent it.
Reference the chart to cut back. Unless it's super rare or something, you will probably find the figure later on.
>Don't bother with preorders because they get stuff months after japan.
So rightstuf does that too, yeah? I thought so. I was wary because they have everything listed with the Japanese release dates, but I didn't think they'd be any different from TOM or Crunchy.
May was suppose to kill me but delays made my June order even bigger
The only part to be painted in both figures is the inner part of the cape.
On the topic of GK's, anyone have general tips on painting skin with an airbrush? Getting my first kit in the mail soon but I'm not sure what type of paint to go with.
I know Tamiya and Mr. Hobby both have multiple shades of prefab flesh-tone painr, but I don't know which kind would look better on a anime figure.
Unpainted Charagumin look like crap.
it's his damn fault for using the alternate eyes/eyebrows and not the decals
Lies, this how the lina charagumin looks without painting
>people in these threads actually jerk off onto figurines
I thought you guys just really liked anime
i love to rub the underside of my glans on tae's little nipples. it's like they're made for it
Because Senketsu is her clothes and she's holding him in front of her.
Is there a female equivalent of "hot-gluing" a figure? If so, what is it?
Someone post that comic of a girl getting a fig stuck inside her. Anyway, figs have too many sharp points so that's quite dangerous and I doubt any girl has done that. I guess I could smear my juice on a fig with my finger, but I've never felt compelled to. Marking your territory is more of a male thing. Saged.
