How did this discount version of Mushishi get 6 seasons?

Natsume is the most comfy show I have ever watched. I look forward to it more than every show when it is airing.

One is a shoujo, the other is a seinen. Slice of Life with supernatural elements is a pretty low-hanging-fruit aesthetic.

Also, the characters in Natsume are much more well developed. They both have their strong points and are head and shoulders above 95% of the shit that's aired in the past 15 years.

If you're going to shitpost, at least do it properly. Mushishi's barely similar, whereas there are at least four previous anime/manga series I know of that follow the same "isolated kid with spirit powers inherited from a grandparent has episodic spirit troubles with atmospheric appeal" model as Natsume.
