Doing some minor developments to your characters isn't the same thing as telling a story. Stories usually have beginnings, middles, and ends, with some kind of conflict or driving force needing to be resolved by the end of it. Darkness was about Yami and her issues, and probably could have been done in about a dozen chapters, twice that if you want to give s'more depth. Instead, we got 10 years of doing the same shit as before, and oh my some of the girls got some balls and confessed.

Are they that different? Maybe a few are. Momo and Yami got a good amount of treatment, but not really anybody else. Maybe Rito if you're feeling generous.
