I spent my entire childhood at a farm. I visited the amusement parks like only 5 times in my entire lifespan
And I love every single moment of the fact that I played tag with my fellow peasant boys and girls around the grassfield. Everyday, we were laughing around as we leapt on the haysack, fling mud at each other, and spend the weekend building houses and forts out of our rotten tent and freshly cut down branches of trees.
Sometimes, we go exploring around the farm, climbing the trees and feasting on the fruits that we plucked. Some even carry food and water along with their bikes

I cannot list enough how I grateful I am to experience such a childhood while I see how the majority of children now adays do not even have a tanline from playing under the sun.

But what pains me is the fact that, at this moment, my place is being consumed by houses after houses. The farm that we used to play around is now gone and was turned into a housing lot. Even the lake where we used to fish from now houses some big house

I need to leave and start anew. I don't want my child to witness the horror of rapid urbanization
