Pretty sure we all are when we take a second to think of it, but why would you in the first place? There's no point in it, especially in this place in which we pretty much unanimously want to stick our hard adult dicks in a twelve-ish year old loli rabbit. This series isn't going to achieve notable western popularity, for a number of reasons including the obvious one, and while the content gets majorly fucked up in numerous ways it's still no worse than what you'd see in something like Berserk which incidentally is massively popular outside of Japan despite sexualizing little girls all the way back to the late 80's.
I'm just glad the brilliant bastard responsible for this sublime work of art has top-tier fetishes he not only wasn't afraid to put in his manga, but was able to do so in such an egregious fashion without impeding any of the manga's other many high points of interest. There are fucking naked little girls hanging S&M style all over the place but this author is capable of presenting it so well that it feels like a completely natural part of the story. It really helps to add to the darkly whimsical and subtly depraved yet fantastic aspect of the narrative, and also gives me something to jerk off to. I love this manga, I really do.

Because it looks cool? The author does some nice stuff with the paneling later on in action scenes and in general it serves to highlight certain things in a page or to create a feel. I like the texturing too, and the fact that it looks like color drawings on grayscale from all the shading he does.

The way that little whimsical look on her face died as she looked over her shoulder, the tears welling up slightly, crossing that point on no return with her newfound companions, this artist is a master of conveying powerful and complex emotions through expressions and body language. Sometimes it's subtle like the example we're talking about or this page here >>157080106 where you can see Riko's gradual buildup of joy and gratefulness from panel to panel, and sometimes it's extremely heavy like when Nanachi broke down into a sobbing mess after Mitty was put down.
On that note it's pretty ironic that one of the most expressive characters in the manga is the one who's face is constantly hidden behind a mask.
