It's a feature of her character, yes. If the writers decided to focus on it then it would be a key trait, but they don't.

And that's the point I'm trying to make. They've given Mahiru a bunch of little things that they've only mentioned once or twice and not expanded on. I'm not trying to say she's a super deep character or anything, I'm saying if they just focused on the stuff that isn't just muh onee-chan and breaking tiles, she'd be a much better character and I wouldn't have to be so frustrated with what they do with her.

I don't really consider them to be part of "onee-chan", because if Yozora didn't exist at all, the things I mentioned would still be there pretty much unchanged.
I can't say you're wrong though, because I think the key in all this is they don't use them enough to make them specifically Mahiru, and since her entire S1 story was about her relationship with her sister, that's where almost all the context of them comes from.

And just to add a little more onto the chocolate thing, I mentioned that specifically because it's her aura, so surely it must have some relevance to her. But I don't think we'll ever get any more stuff going on about the specifics of auras which is a bit of a shame.

We can agree on dropping the mentioning of Yozora all the time though. Really I just want Mahiru stuff to focus on Mahiru, and it's disappointing when the opportunity is there and the writers don't take it.

Watched the first episode of Aikatsu. It was a lot better than I ever anticipated.
Ichigo is a cutie. Really like her beautiful eyes, gorgeous long hair and a ribbon. I wish she would make a bentou for me. Rice cooked by the hands of such beautiful girl surely will be a lot tastier than usual. I envy her brother. He is such a lucky boy. He can even smell her!
Aoi is nice too. She seems slightly less attractive than Ichigo, but I like her sidetail and smug facial expression when she talks about Idols.
3D models during concerts were shit. I don't want to offend this anime in any way, but it was shit. I could bring myself to not dislike the main girl and started to enjoy the song, but the backgrounds and the audience were outrageous. It wasn't bad enough to make me drop this anime, though. I think it would be possible to start enjoying 3DCG with enough time and effort, like it was with Show by Rock.
Ichigo's song made me cry. I could feel her burning desire to become an idol and it moved me to the core of my soul. I can only admire this strong girl.

The CG gets much better, it gets to be tolerable starting around episode 10, then season 2-4 CG is actually top tier CG.
