The torrent scene is shaky right now, and I do think it's understandable that they want to lay low for a while. My ratio on BakaBT is fucked because I never took it seriously as a private tracker (30 GB down, 1 GB up). I can't leech anymore, so I've been trying to find bonus torrents and download the files elsewhere to seed them on BakaBT, but that has been very slow going.

Is it worth just paying 3 euros to fix my ratio and get donator status? On one hand, it's really not that much for what I'm getting. On the other hand, I feel pretty stupid paying to pirate, and who knows if BakaBT is just gonna randomly die in the next couple years.

When baka.bt went private my share ratio was 0.002.
First thing i did was to search my pc for any old torrents i dl-ed from bbt.On my surprise i found a few.I then went on bbt and downloaded the torrent files and started seeding them on my account.
Then i browsed to see which torrents got leeched the most on bbt and found some that were also on nyaa.I dl-ed some of them from nyaa and seeded them on both sites.
I also went on the offers page on bbt and dl-ed the semi-approved torrents that were also on nyaa.When they got approved i seeded the shit out of them since they were new and frequently dl-ed.Thankfully i managed to improve my ratio before nyaa went down.
Also my upload speed is around 200 kB/s MAXED, so i don't want to hear any shitty excuses for your upload speed.
And you can still dl the files from the nyaa archives and from horrible subs and from meme-subber's sites .
