Seriously the best show I have ever watched, it has a sense of pacing and tone that is unlike most shows, and the writing is superb for what it is, always looping back into itself thematically very tightly. It also has themes and symbolism that actually pays off and forms a cohesive whole and aren't there just to look cool and edgy, also unlike most shows.
I have wished desperately for the "watch more animes you pleb" crowd to be right because I want more shows that are this well done, but I never found them.

The spectacle of EOE alone was good enough reason for people to enjoy it as much as they do but when 95% of the fans try to shove this symbolic meaning bullshit down everybody's throats you can see how it would irritate others and I'd estimate its about 95% of the fanbase easily but when you watch reviews from people who aren't brainwashed they say what I believe a lot of the time.

If it's any consolation they cut out a character from the game named Kappei who ends up marrying Ryou in his route. He also ends up dating Ryou at the end of the Kyou route, several months after Tomoya breaks up with her, so things don't end too badly for her ultimately.

Yeah this is true. Tomoya is the only gay one in it, though. It's not serious at all and the main joke is flipping their normal interaction where Tomoya insults Sunohara whenever he says something into Tomoya complimenting and agreeing with him instead. It's kind of funny.

No news but I don't think it's actually ending after rebellion. They're probably going to finish cashing in on Monogatari and then do another Madoka movie. It might take a while sort of like how Eva did with the rebuilds after the three original movies but I'm pretty sure that's how it will go down.

Kyou is my favorite too. Other than her personality, I liked that she didn't need to be "helped" in some way like the others did, so her story is mainly focused on her feelings for Tomoya. In turn her route is the only one that gives you a light orb just for dating her. Nagisa and Fuko don't give you one, Kotomi gives you one after everything is resolved regarding her parents, Tomoyo only gives you one if you get her elected to the student council. I think it says something that just dating her and allowing her feelings to be requited without guilt regarding Ryou is equivalent to some of that other shit, like with Kotomi.

Also I would've been happy with an alternate After Story ending where Tomoya ended up with her and Nagisa stayed dead.

My favorite routes in the game are Kotomi and Nagisa, though. Kyou's is good of course, but so much of it is spent dating Ryou. It can be frustrating to play through it.

That fight was great but the part at the end where she's actually a ribbon clone (or whatever it was) was too overpowered, I think. Homura legitimately bested her but they had to take it away somehow.

Time stop can be countered by grabbing her in some way, which is what Mami does (and surprise, she can do it invisibly too). She finally tricked Mami into making a mistake when she shot herself in the head, but it doesn't matter because she was just fighting a ribbon clone. Come on.
