Why did it have to end like this? I wanted Hanabi to be happy. She deserved it, not his bitter-sweet ending.
She's already better off

How so? She loved Mugi.

Love can be bad for you.

Better off, how? I wanted her to be happy with someone, most likely Mugi. Instead, they've decided to split because it 'wasn't truly genuine'. With such approach, she will end up forever alone and given her romantic nature, killing herself, I thought this whole adventure will teach her that true, fairy tale love is non-existant and she would settle with Mugi, despite everything that happened. But no, she still chases for her childish ideals, only to be hurt again in the future.
I really liked her. She was a good girl. A kind girl. But also a stupid girl. And in the end, she haven't learned shit.
She's still young, she'll find someone.

Perhaps. But I wanted some closure on this. I wanted to be sure she won't end up chasing an unobtainable dream of 'true love' till she is old and withered.
Honestly, I would be fine with her agreeing to go on a date with that guy that confessed to her. Nothing to seriuous, but just, to show she has moved on. Instead, we are basically back to the beggining. Ecchan keeps protecting her from all the harm of the world and her 'love for sensei' is replaced with 'longing for love', without even giving it a fucking chance.

Well the author is doing an extra chapter sometime soon. That might give us some closure.
She shouldve been with Ecchan.

Good to know. I hope she will give Hanabi justice

Ugh, do girls actually do this kind of stuff?
