>the hollow empty feeling after finishing a series that was actually good
When's the last time you felt it /a/
Re:Zero
re:zero
>>156901861
Now you should read the Visual Novel so that you can understand that the anime was a shit adaptation.
>>156901861
I felt it more when I read the Higurashi VN.

Relax my man
Hunter X Hunter 2011. Thank fuck there was enough Dark Continent to help ease the pain.
>>156901861
I don't even get that anymore. I watch anime and find shows i like, that I think will be really great and right up my alley and go "Well.... ok, I know I'll like that, so I'll save it for later. Let's see what else is airing" and I'll watch all the random seasonal trash in case any of it turns out decent and then never go back and finish the good ones.

Re:Zero
Akagi.
Me and my friends just finished up Paranoia Agent for the first time, it was the first series we all watched together that was actually good. I felt pretty empty after it all, I dunno about them.

thinly veiled rec thread
>>156904761
OP here, I was going to make it a thinly veiled Higurashi thread but forgot I made it
>>156901861
Cross Game, watched all 50 episodes in 2 days.
Last seasonal anime that made me feel that way was Kemono Friends.
It's always 2 cour shows that are good enough to watch to the second that get you, you watch them weekly for like half a year so you get really used to them, and it feels like a small part of your life has just gone when it ends,
Pic related made me hollow for like a week, but it's one of those shows that make you rethink your life
>>156904862
So what aspects of Higurashi did you like?
Kemono Friends
>>156901861
Claymore, especially because of the last chapter
>>156905742
Everything about Kai. I thought S1 was almost Prometheus-tier with the unanswered questions (I'm aware a lot can be gleamed from more attentive watches) but Kai was so satisfying it retroactively made me love S1. Seeing all those terrible timelines in action and then finally seeing literally everything contextualized and going right was so much fun.
On a less general note, Akasaka is my boy and best girl is obviouslyeither Rena or Hanyuu
>>156907562
first season was better. Kai was so lame.
Fucking 6 year old booby trapping entire forests and it actually works?
>>156901861
>hollow empty feeling
I never stop feeling it
>>156907981
Eh, Kai at least doesn't stick Keiichi in your face the entire time. Personally, I can suspend my disbelief for weird occurrences like Satoko's traps or some grown man being beaten by a short kid. What gets to me is character stupidity. Example: Keiichi follows Shion into her torture room and Rena is just fine with letting him be alone with a confirmed murderer?
It's been a long time actually and its quite painful to realize.
>>156908521
The story was told from Keiichi's perspective until Meakashi, that's why he's always at the center.
>>156909568
Of course; didn't mean to make it sound like it was unwarranted for the overall story. And in retrospect, "entire time" was a bad choice of words. I just found the parts of the story that Kai told more entertaining because Rika/Hanyuu have a way more interesting perspective on things.
A number of people unironically saying Re:Zero. I hope I'm being trolled. If so congrats I responded.
WEW lads.

Since this thread is somehow still alive, I'd just like to add that Naraku no Hana is perfect.
