Watch Fate/Zero. It'll spoil the hell out of the FSN VN, but that, and the rest of the franchise, is unadulterated garbage that's not worth your time anyway.

If you want to watch some enjoyable action anime with magic use and great fights, Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay UBW are a good place to start,
Fate/zero comes before UBW but you could watch UBW then Zero since zero just fills in some extra details and character development.

IF you like lolis that fight and SOL and some ecchi, Fate/Kaleid has got you covered, 4 Seasons of it in fact.

Fate/Go is shit but if you are thirsty for some more fate its still in the same universe.

Ideally the VN but only if you have an interest in reading, enjoy history and the occult and have weapons autism. Most people try to rush the VN but that just kills the pacing and makes the story slow for yourself all throughout. You have to keep in mind that you're going to invest a bit of time in it since it's pretty long. I've read a number of type moon works but with the exception of Tsukihime, none compare to the atmosphere the VN has as pretentious as that sounds.

The game is long but it's long for the wrong reason and is in need of trimming

The anime has a bigger problem and feels hollow in comparison. I don't know why they thought it is a good idea to make one but I guess it prints money

Don't think you need anything else unless you want to get into VNs and see alternative routes.

I would suggest watching fate stay night UBW prologue first and then decide how much you are going to invest in the series:
-It shit but looks good -> watch fate zero
-Its quite interesting but nothing ground breaking-> watch UBW then zero
-Its awesome and im fine with reading everything about it -> read VN, then everything else
