>tfw once popular animes are now watched by fewer people in Japan than Curious George
Did anyone really think yokai flop was going to be big?

>nips displaying decent taste at long last
Well done, Japan; yes, well done, Japan!
Animation Hitsuji no Shaun is the only 10/10 anime I've seen

I fucking hate Shaun.

>Pokemon SM has recovered
>YW now has like half of SM's ratings
Wow.
Is Pokemon SM that popular in Japan? I guess that would explain why the OP/ED single sold decently. I guess I underestimated Rica's popularity in Japan.

It was initially, it was destroying Pokemon's ratings and the movies were doing very well. The first two times I visited Japan (2014 and 2015), YW merchandise was everywhere.
>>156831462
Would be more accurate to say "remain" big. There's no doubt it was big in Japan in 2014/2015.
But, as we see from its game sales, TV ratings and merchandise (pic. related, see 2015 vs. 2017 forecast), it's fizzling out remarkably fast. A true flash in the pan.
Curious George used to be a lot more popular as well.
TV as a whole is dying.

lol new this post was Mami becore I even saw the name get rekt fag
>>156832503
It's not that, it's just I didn't know Taiiku was that popular. Seems some of his singles even sell better than most anison artists.

>Pokemon ratings actually went up
I had completely disregarded the whole tv ratings crap a while ago, but I am genuinely surprised at this rebound.
>>156831462
>>156831726
I still see a lot of it on TV and on merchandise. If I am not mistaken it was on a McDonald`s campaign not too long ago. I particularly see nothing special.
>>156833036
You live in Japan? How popular is anison there?
>>156833439
You are a strange, Mami. You are always asking questions you already know the answer to.
>>156833554
Well, that question has been bothering me ever since I saw the sales for XY&Z and Alola/Pose. They're far better than the sales for some singles for Tokyo Ravens, TLR, and AoKana, for example.
