2. The character herself says they're a lesbian, and it goes undisputed for the rest of the story.

3. This is the most difficult. The character has to show romantic interest only in girls, with no interest being shown to guys whatsoever. Ideally, it would be a situation where they show interest in more than one girl, and no interest in guys.


By this procedure, one can safely surmise that Kumiko is a lesbian. Reina is not.
