In all honesty, Kuroko and Haikyuu have become known for being fujobait, but they are just regular Jump series and at least begin decently.

maybe evaluate if it has an interesting premise/setting (girls with special powers playing on mahjong/ping pong inter-school competitions isn't something commonly seen, for example), interesting characters, interesting matches. Sometimes the characters have nice background stories which make me want to continue reading a manga to see how their particular story and/or match will end, sometimes a manga has interesting matches that make me look forward to their next matches.
