I think you have the wrong idea about what tsurime eyes tend to represent. It doesn't matter whether Chariot is upbeat and cheerful or gloomy and serious, tsurime eyed people tend to be cool and determined, active rather than passive, and have a lot of insight (or you could say, "sharp-eyed", haha).

The only shows with deuteragonist are the ones in which the rivalry is the center of the story (like Scryed or Kill la Kill), non-harem romantic shows (like Kare Kano) and that genre in which a normal guy/girl meets a super-natural guy/girl and becomes the audience surrogate (Neuro). But generally most shows don't have a detueragonist. People tend to put the rival as the deuteragonsit but that's usually not the case. I mean, Bakugou in MHA is the rival and he has less than half of Deku's screentime.

Pixiv filenames can be used to get back to the page they're on. If you see someone post a pixiv image you like you can use it to get to its page and see more works by that artist. Pixiv filenames are inherently useful. Removing a useful part of it, or even worse, renaming it so the last number is different, makes no sense.

This makes sense, it's a useful way to have an image be named:

(in your case, add a "_master1200" to the end of it)

Changing those filenames to this:

Putting this "well writing" shit aside, I like what they're doing with Chariot. How she's really meek most of the time but puts herself together when it counts, like around episode 7 when she started to come out of her shell and defended Akko. Or again in episode 15. She's clearly dealing with a lot of emotional shit besides the whole situation at hand, and I think they're portraying it pretty well.

Akko's also pretty interesting when you put the mental disability meme aside. Around episode 9 or so, she would have been the one to suggest sneaking into Andrew's school to look of the word. Now Amanda had to drag her along because Akko wanted to stay and listen to whatever Ursula had to say about it first. Slowly, she's calming down and becoming less pushy and self-absorbed.

I also like that she's so kind and is ready to risk it all even for strangers. But I guess that's more like a generic thing for "magical girl" MCs.

Until we have the show as a whole to look at, we can't evaluate how well constructed it is. This is especially true of Diana, who has scant few scenes. These few scenes are building to something that still has yet to come. Until it comes, we can't know how well her few scenes up until this point are setting it up.

We know she's a fan of Chariot in episode 1. So what? Watching that episode 10 times won't help us know how satisfying the payoff is, because it hasn't come yet.

I doubt it, Constanze doesn't seem to have an aversion to working with others. There wasn't any conflict when she had to work together with her roommates at the Samhain Festival, or when she snuck out with Akko to get the Sorcerer's Stone back, or in the broom relay. Though it's worth noting that those were all directly or indirectly working with her roommates.

There's also the Enchanted Parade, but that might not matter if Trigger decides to go in a very different direction for her character.

But see, Ursula is both well written and nuanced. Akko too is well written, though not exactly nuanced. Akko is the focus of attention for most of the show, and they've succeeded in never having her character act in a contradictory manner or shift in characterisation out of nowhere. She's a well constructed character. Not exactly complicated, but her character works.

Ursula is successful in having us still be intrigued about why exactly she gave up being Shiny Chariot, exactly how she feels about this situation, and so on. We don't know what's going on with her, but we also don't have people coming to different conclusions and arguing about what they think must be right. That this aspect of her is mysterious we can safely say is intentionally designed.

Diana on the other hand acts inconsistently. Sometimes she seems like an smug, egotistical bully, who is proud of her intelligence and prestige. Other times she seems like a reasonable person, who is very intelligent and is just somewhat frustrated by the stupidity of the people around her, who is burdened by the weight her name carries, and is driven by an as yet uncertain goal. These are different aspects of her characterization, and it has the potential to be nuanced and well written - if the reasoning behind it is made clear and well constructed. On the other hand, it has the potential to just be a clumsy and inconsistent portrayal of her character. The nuance is only inferred at this point, until we see where her arc is leading. It's thanks to the amount that Akko and Ursula have been in the show that we can say we know for certain what they're doing with these characters. The same can't be said of Diana, not yet.

I dunno, I'm just missing the 'FUCK YEAH' factor from some of the earlier episodes, like in ep 3 when Lotte cheered for Akko winning or ep 7 when Akko was saved by her hero from expulsion or ep 8 from sheer comedy and quality.

A lot of the episode conclusions have been 'okay, that was nice' and little else.
