I only watched the anime so I wasn't sure. Season 2 wasn't terrible or anything but it just wasn't the same quality as season 1.
I would definetly give season 3 a shot if it got adapted further.

S1 had some impressive stuff. Like, all the explosions looked amazing and there was a lot less off-model than in S2. I don't know why they decided to cheap out on S2 so much.
