Yeah the anime skips around alot. For one off episodic yokai stories it's not too bad. This arc is supposed to be before the one Natsme goes to Taki's place to warn her about not using forbidden arts in S5. They decided to move it back for some reason so they change the part where Natsume visits Natori's place to include a conversation from this arc to that scene where Natori exorcises the curse.

Natori episodes are fine as long as Matoba isn't involved. I was going to say it's always hilarious when Natori's music starts playing, but this time it got abruptly cut off when he coughed, which wasn't expected and also funny.

Natsume is already considered attractive, and with his yokai powers, he'd probably be considered top material, so exorcist dads probably want Natsume to knock their daughters up.

Finally someone with a high opinion of season 5.

Personally I don't think anything will beat the first season but season 5 came as close as it's gonna get for me. I was really surprised because a lot of the response I've seen on /a/ seems to be that a lot of people didn't like the last season.

I certainly don't have a low opinion of season 5 by any means, but I don't think S2 can be topped.
I think comparing seasons is a bit silly to begin with, but S2 has some of my favorite episodes, and I think it carries the theme of family between Natsume and the Fujiwaras the best.
But yeah, I never had a problem with season 5.
