The whole concept is flawed from the start.

The original WIXOSS had the most pointless, most self-destructive tournament ever, where the players were competing to shoot themselves in the fucking head first. Nothing about the premise made sense.

In the second one, losing your memories or becoming an LRIG was bad, yes, but you didn't get a prize for winning! You were just fucked over either way.

Like, contrast this with Battle Royale, where the goal is very simple: Last man standing wins. Or Kamen Rider Ryuuki, where it's 'Last man standing wins, and winner ALSO gets a reality-changing wish'.

See, that's straightforward. That's what people want. Here, being able to alter your own memories isn't as bad as 'Losing your body forever', but it's still a REALLY BAD PRIZE.

Like, that's the big middle finger right there. If the fighting has no meaning, what is your series even about?
