I'm not asking because I'm "butthrt". I just want to make sure you remember Genesis for what it actually was instead of just remembering your impressions. So far the main difference between the two is that Soul took out the road trip aspect of the first season, but it doesn't necessarily means it's lacking the energy of the first season. The action set pieces are actually more impressive and dynamic, the character writing is more nuanced, plot progression is smoother, animation is more detailed and fluid. I see a lot of improvements here (eps 3 & 4 of Genesis were mostly focused on character background exposition). And it's not like Genesis was without its still moments. I also appreciate the fact that the main party feels more like a family group of friends, instead of starting off by trying to kill each other. Even Azazel and Nina's first meeting was him rescuing her instead of trying to kill her. I suspect the road trip will happen in the later part of the show this time, we already know the main party will have to leave the city before the midpoint.
