Deku's mom is the shadow leader of the League of Villains. Her power isn't whatever we saw before. She orchestrates all the attacks on All Might, and subsequently UA, in an effort to make her son lose interest for fear of his own health. It's safe to say she's only trying to remove Deku's idol to keep him from doing something stupid in the future.
