So true. I wish he had stayed with Madhouse. But it's not like his skill is ruined with flash i.e. Ping Pong

The Flash parts of Ping Pong stuck out badly, but I liked the rest. And it's not his skill that's ruined, it's his animators.

I'm not surprised that Yuasa's new film isn't doing so well. I'm a big fan of his but he's sort of been declining throughout his whole career, creatively, and this using flash for animation thing is sort of the nail in the coffin. It doesn't help that Michio Mihara doesn't work on his projects anymore, for whatever reason, maybe he doesn't like to use Flash. This seems to happen a lot in the anime industry where creators decline, though it's not as as bad say someone like Mamoru Hosoda where the first work he's directed was his best and everything since then has pretty bad. Ping Pong was still good but Mind Game is clearly the peak of Yuasa's talents.
