Dumping the chapter.

I had to fuck a bit with this two pictures to upload them here, by the way, sorry about that.

Just the sixth sesson is already more than 10 years.

End of the chapter.
Good chapter. Haven't read the stuff before that though, I stopped reading this series ages ago but I like thi schapter nonetheless.
I wonder what FKMT is doing with this series now. I'd prefer he ends it here.
And the credits page.
It has really been a long ride. Akagi and Ten got me into mahjong and now it feels weird to see this long part of Akagi ending.
I don't think there will be a second season of the anime as it would be 24 episodes of just this, but it would be nice if only for the ost.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed.
>>156527414
I believe Akagi is going to end by late 2017.
>>156527414
I remember reading somewhere that the manga is supposed to end February 2018.
what a fucking wild ride, rest in peace washizu you magnificent bastardgot me real emotional all through the last page, truly all good things must come to an end
I wonder if the remaining chapters will be an overview of Akagi's life between the events of Washizu mahjong and the East-West battle.
Holy fuck that ending really got me unprepared.
Wait a second I just finished the anime and started reading the manga from where it left off. Are you telling me that this arc goes on for the following 150 chapters? Literally fucking how? Does Akagi do the retarded "let's keep playing" thing 6 more times after winning and somehow keep the tensions high?
>>156532513
The Washizu arc started in 1997.
Imagine following the same story arc for twenty years.
>>156525127
"A baby would be all grown up by now." That's me. born in 92 when Akagi started. Fuck. Rest in Peace Washizu you beautiful bastard.
>>156532513
Yes
>>156527311
>I'll go as myself
Man that's a low one
>>156527830
He's not going to rest.
Did you miss the part where he went to Hell?
>>156530885
It's like Kenshin vs Shishio, or Heaven's Feel. The antagonist dies after the protagonist drives him past his limit.
Washizu is now at the same level as Kotomine and Shishio Makoto.
Has that happened to anyone else?
>>156527101
Knowing how he dies, that's a bit sad.
>His mind was probably like this clear blue sky
>>156536169
How does he die? I don't want to read a shitload of a game I don't understand.
>>156536223
Suicide when he gets Alzheimer's.
>>156536346
Well fuck.
>>156536390
Read Ten.
>>156536514
Maybe someday, I love FKMT's style but I don't understand Mahjong at all. I've read what I believe is all of his not-Mahjong works so I may branch out.
>>156525072
>You remember Akagi has been dead for 15 years
>>156527311
>suits still trying to revive Washizu
It hurts
>>156527101
>His mind was probably like this clear blue sky at the moment he lost his life.
>Wonder how it'll go when it's my turn to die?
Are you fucking kidding me, FKMT?
>>156527101
I'm surprised Akagi isn't all that pissed here. He lost his only real chance at a meaningless death ie the essence of gambling. Akagi wanted death, he wanted to play at his very best and still be able to lose.
Guess in the next few chapters we'll see how this affects his progression into the mellow Akagi in Ten.
>>156536729
>clear blue sky
I guess Akagi wanted to go beyond Washizu
>>156536977
He doesn't get angry.
>>156537369
He sure seems annoyed in that panel though
>>156526288
Can anyone who's read the whole thing estimate how long the game was in real life/Akagiverse time? I guess a few days or something but I am really unsure considering that it took decades in our world.
>>156541444
One night.
>>156541547
Oh well damn.
They must've talked a lot in these ~12 hours.
>>156541444
They start playing the evening before and the sun rises at the end of this chapter.
>>156534803
>this pic
Gets me every time. Rest in peace you glorious bastard.
Imagine how many people died without seeing the end of Washizu.
Shit like this is why I don't follow ongoing series. No boat rides or Washizu arcs for me. Hope it was worth the wait.
>>156536559
Learn rules, play ~10 games yourself, it's not that hard. Mahjong is a fucking magical/devilish game.
i thought it was just going to be left unfinished...
F
>>156546215
Kaiji is going to get it's Washizu arc next, just you wait.
seems to me like there wasn't a definite winner/loser, because if Washizu had to bet his blood since the beginning like Akagi did, he would've lost earlier (if the game went the same way it did, of course); if Akagi had the same amount of money Washizu had, he would've survived the 6th hanchan; if Washizu was younger, he would be able to finish the 6th hanchan, kill Akagi and get his money back. They were both handicapped.
so what the fuck is this manga about? i thought the long nosed guy was already dead
Sweet Moses, how can it take this long to finish an arc?
>>156527311
fuck you FKMT, this shit is depressing as almighty dicks.
>>156548018___________he diesin Ten, which Akagi (the manga) is a prequel of. This is a manga centered on Akagi as he ends up playing mahjong against the yakuza, gradually becoming known in the underworld and getting himself involved in increasingly more difficult matches, and higher stakes.
Anyone watched the live action of the Washizu arc? I thought it was pretty cool.
>>156551043
I thought that the____hatsuwould've been relevant for this final round.
Liked the adaptation, don't think thatthe hell sub-arc would be adaptable without breaking willing suspension of disbelief though.
>1:0
Young Washizu manga when?
>>156554680
What do you mean, when? It's been a thing for a while.
>mfw I dealt into a Sanbaiman today when playing with friends.
I think that, for a match that lasted 20 years, the ending was rather anticlimactic.
20 YEAR LONG MAHJONG GAME
Can someone explain to me how the fuck that arc kept going for 20 years? I already thought that the pacing was shit and that It should just end already when watching the anime.
>>156554880
Meant more scans. I only see the same scans for Washizu.
>>156557071
Akagi doesn't a regular publishing schedule, since the author is doing several manga at once.
it's basically constantly on hiatus.
>>156557209
Except it hasn't been on hiatus since 2001
>>156557071
monthly release
>>156527311
>I'll go as myself
Akagi... ;__;7
>>156557071
the monthly release schedule really made it drag on forever. maybe it would have been better if it were a weekly series.
>>156559711
Now that you say it, had it been weekly the whole Washizu arc would have taken around 3~4 years.
>>156547576actually,its in its final round
>>156559945
you bet! although i think maybe it's better this way...
Oh damn i had searched for "Akagi" in the catalog and created a new thread.
Oh well.. I wonder what kind of epilogue will we have for the next year before the series ends.
>>156535207
Raoh.
Rematch when
>>156560197
>Rematch in hell
>I have been waiting for you, Akagi Shigeru, hell sure is a boring place, but that should end now with you here finally.
I would read it.
>>156560197
FUND IT
>>156560303
>spinoff manga about rematch in hell
>prequel to the spinoff about Washizu conquering hell through insane mahjong
Sounds like something FKMT would do.
>>156525072

What happens to Yasuoka and Ohgi? I don't remember them being mentioned in Ten.
>>156527311

Thanks
>>156560703
HELL MAHJONG!
Pieces in the pond heat up as they are played!
Do you call on a tile and risk losing your fingertips?
Do you play for tsumos and slow down the game?
