Honestly I think Seki was, although I enjoyed Punpun sometime he made retarded overly edgy decisions just for wow so fucked up factor. You can see why Seki does what he does.

Pretty sure that was the point of his character. He was totally normal, even when Punpun's mom was giving off some /ss/ vibes at the hospital. Very opposite to the batshit people involved in the story.
