Pretty much all of volume 6 and the end of 5.
It's a bit different. Tetsuo stays for longer in the giant baby shape than a shapeless blob, and the transformation keeps going on and off alternating between Tetsuo's normal body and the baby. He also kind of absorbs Kaneda and is able to fuse himself with things so they become organic, like when he ''fuses'' with a ship.

It was even worse in the manga. In the manga his entire breakdown was all planned by Lady Miyako (who is supposed to be a good guy) so that he and Akira would consume each other.

That said, manga Tetsuo had it coming with his dumb tyrant antics. Anime Tetsuo was moderately more innocent.

Huh, it looks just like the 30th anniversary spanish box set and the special japanese colored set. Still love the way Tetsuo's arm forms in the volumes side though.
Speaking of sets a years ago the was a japanese deluxe edition. Anyone know the difference between that and the normal volumes?
