Diabolik Lovers is still being milked for all its worth ( the most recent game came out just a few months ago), Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji only recently ended and got a live action adaptation, I'm all about Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai and that's ongoing.
Nothing has ever topped Hana Yori Dango of course, and that came out in the 90s (and is STILL getting adapted around the world).

Pretty much. For all the gill they show at first most of these bad boys end up screaming the heroine's name in anguish by the end. Usually starts with them feeling guilty about the heroine being severly injured or believing she's dead and hugging her when it turns out she's okay. It's all downhill for their "alpha" traits from then on.
