The prospect of maybe someday seeing a really good and engaging anime come out that also has the female characters regularly peeing as just like, a recurring thing, whether plot-related or pure obvious fetish fanservice (as long as they don't spend more time making a big deal out of it with every character remarking on it than they do just showing it).

I'm willing to suffer through stuff like Prison School just for that and the occasionally decent humor, but I long for anime or manga that will have it reliably every few episodes or every several chapters, and not like Queen's Blade where it's just there badly shoehorned in as "character development" to get more people to watch the anime, and then NEVER AGAIN and the anime isn't even good on top of that after you've been rused into watching a bunch of episodes hoping for more.

A) Literally the same melodrama or sitcom crap every season, with very, very few exceptions (at least anime has many varieties of genres, even if most of it is still garbage).
B) Almost no imagination for things, requires everything to be "realistic" or "historical" as possible.

I'll admit that I'm cooling off a bit, partially due to less free time, but also partially because good shows I haven't seen are getting a bit harder to find, and the newer stuff is catching my interest less.

This year though there's been a bit of a resurgence, with two very strong titles: Scum's Wish and Re:Creators.

I actually don't watch a lot of anime anymore, I might start a new series here and there but for the most part I'm really not watching as much as I use to. I think I've lost the patience to try and watch so many of them, like I tried making a list of all the shows I want to watch but there was way too many and I was too lazy to try and watch them all. For instance all the new shows that /a/ watches, I'd try watching them but there are so many that I don't want to bother watching them all.

Nowadays I only watch anime series that become really hyped up and turn into memes, stuff like OPM, and AoT. You know? Just stuff like that, sometimes I'll watch a series if a lot of people recommend it or it interests me. Sadly all I care to watch nowadays is like shounen edgy crap, I don't really care to watch ecchi/moe/slice of life garbage and it seems like that's what is most popular on /a/.
